The question about warranty and what will void a warranty has been answered 100 times.

Nothing voids the entire warranty. The only thing that I can think of is that you altered the car completely for racing.

Nissan must show that the mods caused the problem. In other words if you replace the transmission with a three-speed automatic, what does it have to do with the windows not working? Nothing.

Why is this simple concept so easily misunderstood.

I was told when I bought mine that anything Type-R or not installed by a dealership would void my warranty. I've been wondering about the validity of that statement myself.

Since it's NISMO, best bet would be to call the dealership and talk to their waranty people. Also, if they do install it, I would get something saying that it's not warranty nullifying.

I think what dealers mean by this is that anything installed at the dealer is guaranteed to be under warranty (depending on the part). But just because it gets installed somewhere else doesn't mean you void your warranty. For example if you go to Midas to get your brake pads changed, it won't void your warranty.

I called the dealer before I asked the question. The guy at the service center said that anything R rated would void the warranty. I'm not sure if it voids the fly wheels warranty it self or the crs warranty. I just wanted some one to let me know of their experiences after installing a nismo flywheel. THanks for the replies.
