Default Tire Feathering? help please

Ok when i drive at high speeds, and cut the wheel to the right...it sounds like when u are approaching a toll and u go over those cuts they put in the road to wake ppl up. Does this sound like tire feathering? please let me know what you think it is. Thanks guys!

I had the exact same thing happen to me. It was the front left wheel bearing. Did you hit a curb or something with your left front tire. The reason it only does it when you turn to the right, is that it puts a load on the left front wheel.

I was asking many members about this very thing, I described it as a rhythmic droning noise, but thought of describing it exactly the same way you did.

I replaced the bearing for $400 including labor and it went away.

Mine also did it going over 55 if I was on a road that curved to the right, the sharper the curve, the louder and more rhythmic the noise.

Tire feathering makes more of a growl noise under braking (not so much when turning).

No. Feathered tires sound like a washing machine on spin cycle. Besides you can see feathered tires. If you are uncertain, post photos.

If it's a bad bearing, they will cover it. They would have covered mine, but I reminded them that it started after I hit the curb.

Some people have hit pot holes and that was enough to damage the bearing. If you don't know of any situation that caused it, it will be replaced under warranty.
