Default Body problem

I got my Z a week ago and I wanted to put wax on it today so I wash my Z and started put wax on it.
while I was doing it, I notice some body parts has some problem that is hard to explain.
It's not smooth but it's not scratched. It's like something got on it or coating is not there. and the wax doesn't get into it.
it's only some place. It's like they put a paper over it and the body under the paper is fine but rest of body isn't smooth.
It's not really noticeable until you see it really close and touch it.
what should I do?
Should I go to the dealer?
I need you guys help.

Your best bet would be to take it back to the dealer and see if they can take care of it for you. If its on your car then it is likely on other cars there on the lot as well. We ran into a problem like this before when I was working up in Albuquerque, we had a set of like 4 trucks come in by rail that were being added to the fleet and on certain areas it had a semi rough texture to it. The parts that had the protective plastic was fine but the exposed areas were semi rough with a hazzy sheen when looked at an angle. As it tuns out vehicles that travel by train that are shipped on open containers on the lower level have a tendency to collect very hot brake dust off coming off the brakes. It's so hot it fuses itself to the paint/clearcoat, the only thing we were able to do was use a claybar followed by wax, buffing, to get the stuff off. Like I said if you can find it on vehicles on the dealers lot then you should be able to get them to fix it for you, if not then you may have a tough time, unless they are one of the cool dealerships that value their customers and the business we bring them.

Check to see if it hasn't been crashed and repaired. Very important.

yeah, its probably just rail dust, super fine metal dust that gets hot and adheres to the clear coat. just make sure the areas clean, then use a good quality clay bar and spray detailer to remove it. if that doesnt work, meguiars body scrub is a safe way to get moderately heavy deposits and oxidation off. follow up with good quality wax of your choosing.good luck
