A/C Problem
Has anyone else had a problem with your A/C turning itself on occasionally. I just have to reach over and click the **** from the off position to low and then back off again for it to stop, but its obviously a malfunction and with 10 months and 8700 miles I'm worried about reliability down the road.
Thanks

look at your ***** again... is the left **** on auto? also when you have the fan speed **** (the right most one) on "off", it has to pass "auto" and when you turn it back on, it turns on the AC along with it...

The air conditioning seems to have a mind of its own. The manual explains when it goes on (I don't have a good enough memory to recall all the strange situations) and it is suggested that you simply turn it off when not needed. I usually keep the left and right ***** on "auto" and set the middle one to the temp that's comfortable and, oh yes, turn off the A/C occasionally when it turns itself on.

Yeah the Auto setting is close to the off, but....unless it gets bumped into auto mode during normal driving...its an electrical issue turning itself on.

I have mine set auto for the first ****, a comfortable setting for the middle, and low fan for the last. I never have my AC come on "accidentally". I like to keep the fan going inside my car because I feel like I'm breathing in dirty air if I don't. If I want AC, I just turn the right most **** to auto and the AC will do it's thing (start off blowing real fast to cool down fast, then slow down when the inside temperature is where you want it set).
