i didnt read all those pages but they only input i can give you is i helped my little brother get a 2005 mustang GT last january. so ive had ALOT of seat time in it. i practically drove it everywhere i went last year.
the only competitive comparison i have to offer is i raced them both back to back over and over on the local 1/8th mile. my Z consistantly ran 9.1's and the mustang ran 9.3 and 9.4 at best.
i havent auto-xed it but the ones ive seen seemed way to heavy and had alot of body role as compared to the Z.

Eh, believe you me...this man is the most inbred thinking man alive. Whatever it is, the Z06 wins. He has a legion of people who do the same. But when he said that the Mustang would be even, and would even beat the Zed on a road course I knew I needed to get my hands wet. And also..a LRA..not made to turn. Period.
A mustang GT is usually faster in a straight line and honestly, could keep up in fast curves. It just lack the balance, finess, steering feel, brake feel, pedal placement, etc some of the things that dont show up on paper compared to the Z.
