Default what would you do.........

Yesterday i was driving my 06 350z and from a stop i dropped it at 3500 rpm and when i got to about 6 grand i shifted to 2nd gear but my clutch pedal did not come off the floor. I hit it hard and it popped up and i had a horrible smell the rest of the drive. The car is still driving fine, no problems or smell anymore and my clutch and tranny seem fine. My friends looked at it and said it was fine, that i might of had a hot spot and caused it to stick. but i love my car and i dont want to *** it up, what should i do? take it in to get checked? Has anyoen else had this problem?

I would take it in man your clutch sticking like that should not happen. Its covered and if you have the time let them take a peek at it.

Happened to me twice with my stock clutch in the first 5k miles - scared the crap outta me! Ha! Anyway, when I changed out to the JWT flywheel & clutch at 15k the stock clutch & flywheel looked in perfect shape. Probably heated up your clutch fluid or plate a little too much. After changing to the JWT setup, I also changed to a kevlar-coated clutch line & hi-temp fluid.

Happened to me doing the same thing. There is another thread in here where a lot of members were complaining about the same thing. Has not happened again, but scared the crap out of me when it did. The clutch burning smell made me pull over cause I thought it had caught fire.

Here is the thread about the clutch sticking:

This is what I've heard should fix it too.

Kinda BS though. I think Nissan should fix this crap under warranty.

It's a serious saftey issue.

Gee I wonder if the brake lines have any air in them too?

It's happend to me 4 times in 4,300 miles. First time was by far the worst because it smelled like my car was on fire, like the other guy said. It happend 3 other times to a much lessor extent (no smell) because I was prepared for it if it was going to happen again. It only seems to do it to me if I try to feather and or slip the clutch under high RPM's, so I simply don't do it.
