Well I got some nasty grease on my passenger side window so I have made an appt. at my local dealer to get it fixed. (TSB) I was wondering if I should have them do the driver widow also. There is no grease on it yet but I imagine I could find some on it.
Should I complain about the window motors also while its there? Sometimes the driver dosent stay rolled up. Also should I mention that my car is sometimes hard to get into second gear from first gear? It only happens sometimes and I dont know if they will be able to duplicate it. THE CAR ONLY HAS 1,400 MILES on it but I would like to get all of the kinks worked out all at once but am I complaining too soon? I just dont want to be taking my car to the dealer every month for the things that are gonna pop up?
Thanks Yo,
Nick

You got a new car..and you are well under the warranty period. USE IT!! Get that window fixed (new motors). First gear to second gear is notchy for me too. When do you shift? The book recommends shift at 8 mph so I try to do that. I shift around 10-12 mph on average. Also its harder to shift gears if the car isn't warmed up.
Dealers generally don't fix "potential" problems unless they can actually reproduce them or they are known to fail (e.g. fuel filler recall). They have to answer to Nissan before Nissan will pay for warranty work. In my experience, it is sometimes better to focus the dealer on one problem at a time. If you go in with a long list, you may be disappointed that some things don't get fixed the first time. Just my $0.02.

I think I will just hit them up about the window grease and the window motors for now. I might even throw in that it is hard to shift sometimes. Maybe he will make a note of it which I could to refer to later in life. Yall got any other suggestions. The ones you mentioned were great so far.
Just washed her after a couple coats of Zaino. MMMmmm good!!

As an old car guy I always made the mistake to describe the fix to the problem rather than describe the symptoms. So whatever is wrong just describe the symptoms and say nothing else. Build a nice friendly relationship with the dealer's personnel and you will have rewards during your ownership.

I think so dealerships are trying to get out of things so sometimes youve got to tell them what to do. For Example: "The dealer tried to tell me that my TPS only work if the tire is low." Dumbass I had to tell him that it needed to be programed. Now they work just fine but they also told me that my car has no recalls but I think there is one with the fuel hose. I gotta check though.
