Don't. It is not a piece of art that one hangs on the wall to look at, it's a car, designed to offer enjoyment through driving it. I'll turn 90k this weekend.
+1
Ya paid for it, and it's depreciating daily, might as well enjoy it!!
Only major problem was the front tire feathering issues common to all 2003 cars.
I have replaced clutch, brake pads, and of course tires.
Car is used as daily driver, track car and show car - winning its class at last year's National Z Convention.
22 and change on the chassis but Mossy Nissan replaced the engine due to an oil burning problem about 2 years and 2000 miles ago. It did not cost me a cent, they also gave me a rental car while it was in the shop for the 10 days. They were very cool about it, they removed all my after market stuff from the old engine and re-installed all of it on the new one and never commented once about it! FYI - Kinetix plenum, injen cai, racing pullies, grounding kit, I think that is it....
My 2003 Touring has 43,500 miles and is still running strong. I drive it like it was meant to be; on a track and across the country, back county roads, twisties, and to take my wife out on special occasions.
Early 2003 Touring #3604 still rolling along at just past 80,000 miles. It has been my "extra" car since I got a MINI E - all electric test car in June 2009.
