to you guys with 100k+ miles, does your car still have the power it had when you got it? Just curious. I know the vq35 will go 200k, but just want to know how much power loss, if any, there is.

read the comments here and in the 100K Club thread - it's pretty obvious that most people think their car pulls just as strong as when it was new.

I had 30K on my engine, and just received a new one (due to excess oil consumption) from Nissan. There is almost no power difference in the two, other than the new engine is more consistent and smooth. I could believe that if the engine lasts to 100K that it should be only down 10%.

^ 10% decrease in power is WAY too much. I'm sure it would be down a little, but surely not 10%. In fact, it might not even be noticeable.

wow that's pretty cool. How does the car run with that mileage compared to when you got it?

I really don't think there is much of a difference. I would love to keep driving this motor till its wasted, but i have another motor at home that i'm starting to build.

Just hit 74,000...runs better than new.Original plugs...
As far as power loss..can't tell, cause actually have MORE with my engine/exhaust mods.
I've had 4 Nissans.All different models...not including a 240Z(Datsun)that I bought new
when they first came out.The engines under regular wear(not forced induction etc.) are pretty bulletproof...had 240k on a Pathfinder.

204k, supercharged, she is running like a champ. Pulls hard with no issues. No leaking, no smoking, no nothing. I love my Z. Also have Megan resonated cat deleters, HKS hi power exhaust, and plenum spacer lol. Bulletproof.

just posted my first start up with the SC on youtube
