Huh? A DVD player? How can you watch DVDs while driving (I hope nobody actually does this...) I don't get it.

OK, Thanks. I kind of get it now. (Guess I must be too old to be into this car video stuff! )

Isn't there some law about a TV screen being in view of the driver? I seem to remember something like this from a long time ago.

as long as its not on I dont see a problem, but my friend has his monitor in place of his rear view mirror so I can see the problem with that, but what cop is going to look in your car close enough to look at it

wait up... where his rearview mirror is suppose to be? as in he has the flip down kind? or what cause i dont understand... ive seen them come out of the dash, where your cosmetic mirrors are suppose to be, and where the passanger or drivers airbag are(ludacris) which, are all illegal if you are drivin and they are on... but cops here in nashville arent strict about that at all, but i dunno....the tv where the rearview should go sounds awkward.. only place i would put it is the headrests and coming out of the dash.. i dont like the labtop moniters coming from the ceiling(mostly the big cars i.e.-escalades,navigators, older model cars) those are just to big

So...has there ever been an official confirmation that non-touring cars will have the lock box behind both the passenger and driver seats (in place of the sub woofer)? I know the the passenger side is a definite...just not sure what the official word on the driver side would be. THanks!

My incentive for doing it is for long trips, and of course, if I ever need to wait around.. also for cool factor, oh also because I'm a car audio buff

I used my brothers portable dvd player on my last trip to montreal and it was great to at least listen to the movie - helped pass the time while driving, even if I couldnt watch. Plus it makes the trip more enjoyable for my wife!

For those of you who think just listening is stupid, talk to a blind person about movies.

No, ZISME came on a while ago and said something like "the only thing that has changed recently is that non-Touring models get a blank panel instead of an extra glovebox". I think it's over on zcar.

Thanks Nizl, that kind of sucks, no? Oh well...seems like a lot of wasted space in a car with not a lot of storage...but I think I'll be able to deal. Maybe I'll just cut a hole there myself and make a hinged carbon fiber door or something.
