Default Help w/ a UK style plate/bracket

Hey guys,

I am looking for a bracket and UK style plate for the front of my Z. In fact I would love to have this exact one:

http://www.auto-adrenalina.com/images3/350Z%2001.jpg

It looks like the bracket itself follows the exact shape of the front bumper. I think it looks fantastic since it mirrors thet width/height of the Z itself.

I hope I am correct in refering to this as a UK style plate. If not please forgive me in advance.

If anyone can help me with this I would be greatful. I did search prior the to post but didn't seem to be turning up anything.

This is just for show correct? Because you realize that the US license plate will not fit the UK bracket? I have seen the bracket before on US cars. Your post would be better in the UK regional forum.

I posted there first.

In TN you are not required to have a front tag. The person who owned my car before me was an un-careing bastard who should have his fingers cut off and here lies the rub.

He lived in VA (Who requires a front tag) and he not only allowed them to drill the bumper, but when mounting his tag used long bolts which dug into the bumper yet again. So I have to keep a bracket on now. (I might look at fixing / replacing the bumper someday, but for now it is not an option).

I am also aware that a US tag is not the same size as UK tags. Thus why I am looking for a plate and bracket. With all the cars running standard US tags I think this would be a great look to set my Z apart.

Wish me luck

yeah that`s a huge lump of plastic bolted to the nose and the plate then stuck on. One of the 1st things I removed on mine, it makes the plate sit straight and not follow the curve of the bumper. Don`t do it!

Hate to bring one back from 4 pages deep, but I'm still having no luck with this mission I have put myself on. Does anyone here have friends or family in the UK that might be willing to help?

A quick call from them to the dealer to check price? I've emailed 2 dealers in the UK, but have not recieved a responce from either. I fear my options are running out.

If push comes to shove I might call international, but I am dreading that so bad.

You can get a custom or used uk plate here https://www.mattman-enterprises.com/...talog&cat_id=5 and you can get a bracket for the front as well. Make sure you purchase the bolts to put it on the front of your car too. My brother has an S4 and bought it from NY. We live in PA and the frontr plate isnt necessary. The plate took some modifying to work but it looks good on the car. I hope this helps. Good luck.

Thanks very much RedlineZ350. I had found sites like this one on the net during my extensive search earlier. The only problem is the bracket isn't in the same shape as the front bumper on the Z. It isn't molded/curved so I think I'm still going to go with a UK Nissan bracket either 2nd hand used or new from a dealer. Wish me luck
