Lets see...

$1,500.00 in body work.
$2,300.00 wheels
$750.00 new exhaust
$2,000.00 Stereo
$1,000.00 misc stuff

So I am about $7,000.00 in with my car and I dont even have boost yet.

One day though.. I say a guy last night who one the 95 million dollar lottery last night. Maybe, one day my day will come...

This is a cool see ball park figures. I feel your pain on being in the negatives i lost 8k in mods on my previous vehicle, becuase I was hard headed and did not get the extra insurance. I think the extra insurance is a good investment, just in case you have a bad day!

painted spoiler: $270
Zignalz: $170
PNP piggy back chip: $800
Used Stillen Urethane body kit (painted): $400
Body kit install: $275
Used Rims and Tires: $850
New '06 LED Taillights: $400

Total: $3165

A new Stillen body kit painted would have been about $2500
new rims/tires would have been another $2500
So technically I'm still in the black.

I stopped counting a long time ago. But I'm well over 20K. And yeah, I know, no boost. But it will come soon enough. No rush. I don't plan on getting rid of it anytime soon.

^ Same thoughts ... If you plan on keeping your car for a while then IMO the mods will be worth it. **** I still have my other Z (00' ford escort ZX2) that I bought new.

Only about $3K on this car so far. Soon I'll be dropping about $15-$20K on it, and that's just parts (I do all my own work)... Built motor and drivetrain and big turbo power.

Adding up everything I've spent modding cars over the last 18 years... about $3-$400,000.

Don't know (well I guess I can approximate), don't care (I really do, but I would have spent it on something else anyway) and if I had to be too concerned about it I shouldn't have spent the money in the first place. Well at least it has been spread out over 3.5 wonderful years.

The great thing about modding your car is that no one has one exactly like yours. It is truly unique.

i HAVE SPENT $14000 AND NEED TO BE CAREFUL THAT I DONT SPEND TOO MUCH MORE, COULD HAVE HAD A C6.

I"m getting close to $20,000 as well, and yes if you spent 20G's on a Vette you could have upwards of 700-900rwhp easily if not more. But it's just more fun in a Z i believe.

18,000 now including my FI pluge. Next year will be doing a engine build etc so look at another 10k+ for that. I'd do it all over again if I had to cause it's always been fun regardless. I can say that I'm happy and don't regret a thing
