Default NEWS - LA Accident - Z Splits in Half

They don't say what type of car it is, but if you watch video you'll know it's Z.

http://abclocal.go.com/kabc/story?se...cal&id=4159206

Car Splits in Half After Crashing on FreewayWoodland Hills, May 10, 2006 - A car crashes and slices in half after an apparent race on the 101-freeway in Woodland Hills.
Authorities say the two people in that car were lucky to walk away with just minor injuries. One man was taken to the hospital by paramedics.
Officers are investigating the crash, which left their car split in half after slamming into a tree near the westbound Topanga exit just after one this morning.

Half of the car ended up 25-feet down an embankment, the other half remained up near the freeway.

Investigators say the car was going about 85 miles an hour when the driver lost control.

The original call came in as a reported race, investigators say alcohol may have been involved.

To split a Z in half while racing im sure he had to be going a lot faster then 85MPH but you never know considering he went right into a tree. Must feel lucky his head didn't fly off after that impact, ouch! I know I would but then I would remember the DWI charge and the fact that my nice Z is destroyed almost beyond recognition, thats gotta suck If two people survived that it kinda tells you something on how safe the Z is considering its a sports car and all. Makes me feel a little safer when I get behind the wheel of mine

Damn that's right by my work

Never drink and drive...
and NEVER EVER drive fast or race someone when you
have no choice but to drive home after a few shots of tequila.

There goes up our insurance rate

With all of these accidents that Ive seen on this bored, it really shows how well the Z holds up in an accident. Ive seen some bad ones, and most walked away...not hurt at all. Thats good to know!
