Default saw a red 350 Z today

Hello all,
I saw a red 350Z this afternoon pulling into a Nissan building in Herndon Va. The car had a black interior and it looked very sharp!
It had factory distributor plates. I don't believe it was the track model since it didnt have a rear spoiler.
I have heard the midatlantic regional office for Nissan is located in Virginia so this must be the place. The Nissan building is a few short blocks from my house.
Is the 350Z officially being released next month?
thanks
KRIS

Good spot Kris!

Yes, August is the official release of the car. Not sure when those of us that pre-ordered will actually receive them, but that's a whole nutter topic.

I don't think we have seen any non-Nissan pics of the red car yet. Maybe there was, I forget now. If you have a camera, and could score some pics, I think you'd have alot of fans. If you tooks pics of a white one, some people here may name their first born after you

Black is the other unseen car so far.

Have fun!

Default 350 Z

Scafremon,
You gave me a good idea so I took my digital camera and went to the Nissan building and unfortunately didnt see the 350Z.
Maybe tomorrow, when the parking lot is filled, I might take another drive by there with camera in hand. Since I drive a Maxima, I might fit right in and blend with the crowd :-)
The car looks exactly like the red one posted. Maybe there will be more than one. If I can find one, I will take a pic

Wow!

That was quick Kris. Well, better luck next time.

You know, something you might want to consider....

I'm sure the day job you have serves some purposes (steady income, health insurance, Yellow Hi-Liters for the kids, etc), but since you live so close to that Nissan building, you might want to think about dumping the day job, and just staking out Nissan for a few days/weeks. I'm sure some my350z.com folks could drop by on ocassion with tuna-fish sandwiches and what not.

It would be well worth it if you scored some white or black Z pics.

Well, kinda worth it. I mean, we can't afford to pay you anything, but I tell you, the 15 minutes of fame you'd get around here is priceless.

Default 350Z

Remember, I live a few short blocks away!
I am on vacation this week so the stakeout is on the house :-)
I dont need to get paid. I like to do these things.
What I need to do is go there around 10 or 11 before lunch and see if there are any Zs around, then snap a few quick ones.
What I would like is a ride in one :-). I think the 350z is probably the performance buy of the year.
Maybe I should place an order for one. I know the dealer where I got the Maxima from says I can get one at MSRP. I would be interested in the base model in Daytona Blue. Under 30K is a steal!

Guess My350Z.com has its first secret agent. Knock on the front door and ask them if they are going to show the car at any DC area dealerships anytime soon.

If you go to any concerts in late July through August...you should be able to see it at the Nissan Pavilion in the DC/VA. area.

Mike,
The Nissan building is located at corner of VanBuren street and Worldgate Drive in Herndon. Its next to the Oracle Building. So if you are coming from Chantilly,(lets say near Pohanka Lexus), go on Centerville Road which turns into Elden Street, make a right turn onto Worldgate Drive and go straight for approx a mile and you can drive straight into the parking lot of the Nissan building.

I might take a drive there shortly since I live a few blocks away to see if there are Zs and maybe take a few pics. If I do take some pics, I will post them here. Hopefully they will have at least one of them.
There is also another Nissan building in Sterling off Sterling Blvd. I see lot of Infinitis and Nissans parked in the back behind some fences. I might take a ride there today also.

Hello all,
I was only able to snap one pic of the 350z this morning and I have attached the picture. As I was entering the Nissan parking lot, there were lot of cars coming behind me so I parked the car took the pic. As I took it, 2 guys were approaching the Z . They didnt see me but as soon as I left, they got in and drove off.
I also went by the other Nissan building and there were no sightings there. This picture seems to be the base model, right?
So not bad for someone who just joined the forum yesterday and doesnt even have a 350z on order, right :-)

Sweet picture & great work on getting it!!! Seeing that picture finally makes me like the Base/Enthusiast level 17" wheels. Until now I've never really had a fancy for them (and I ordered an Enthusiast model btw) but seeing a good far back shot really changed my opinion.
