I know what you mean about the ls2. I had an '04 350z that I loved but decided to trade it in for an '06 Corvette coupe. I have always driven imports but I am impressed with this car. I have added a few bolt ons and dynoed afterwards. Dyno numbers are great = 442 rwhp and 402 torque. Here is a pic of my Z which I do miss:

And a couple of my Vette:

The 350z handled a little better but I installed the s-tune suspension but the 100+ hp difference is unbelievable. Enjoy your GTO.

rgcarmack14, nice vette. I would have bought a vette, but that would have put me in the same boat with seating I was already in.
Thought I'd get the same engine though. I'm getting ready to order a Lingenfelter intake and will probably do some exhaust/headers at some point.
I like the Predator tuner as well. Plug it in and program the ecu. No flashing and it's only $399.00

I installed Lingenfelter's LPE bottom feeder and the FAST intake. This combo gave me about 30 hp to the wheel. My car has been tuned with HP tuners software and I am very happy with it. Before you use the Predator, I would enourage you to get on the Corvette forum and type in Predator to do a search. I have read of a number of people who attempted to use this and their cars totally shut down. There is some issue with it but I don't know exactly what it is. Anyway, you will love the intake when you get it. The ls2 engine comes from the factory with all kinds of potential. The guy that does all my tuning had a new GTO he was working on the last time I was in his shop. I especially liked the interior. It is a nice car in my opinion. Happy modding!

I know its got a sweet engine but its looks are rather plain looking... Plus your going to hate the 10 MPG your going to average with that engine... If it was me I would of tried to hold off until the new G35 Sedan came out in Sept... Now thats a sweet looking ride with over 300 HP and you still get around 20 MPG in it..
You'll definatly be able to smoke a lot of cars out there with the GTO tho
Have fun
