Billet grill reduced airflow?
I recently bought a new Z and saw an aluminum billet grill made of horizontal slats spaced rather close together I like. It goes right over the existing grill with no modificaton.I'm concerned it may reduce air flow and cause the engine to run hotter. Any advice?
Anything you place in front of the grille will reduce the amount of airflow. you could (not that you would though) glue a penny to the grille, and it will reduce it. I have a nice billet one on mine, and have had no problems with overheating. I have even been out in the desert areas where it was around 110 playing around and my temp gauge stayed right in the middle, where it always is.
