Default weird thing happend?

I got on the interstate yesterday and went WOT from the top of third through most of fourth. Maybe 60 to 110 or so......just letting her breathe a little.

Anyway so I am coasting back down to highway speed and I go to put the car back into 5th and it will not go into gear. I had the clutch fully pressed. So i release and rengage the clutch nothing.....So I try 6th nope, 4th nope. I coast to a stop totally freaking out. After stopping I reengage the clutch and it goes into 1-4th and 6th but not 5th?????? Then I start driving and eveything is fine again??? It was really weird. I then drove an hour home.....without issue.

Any ideas what the hell happend?

Sometimes i have that happen every once in a while, i dont find it a big deal, i just rev match it and it slips right in. Im guessing its cuz your letting it coast, out of gear, and since your going about 65 mph or so w/ the revs at idle, its tough for it to get into gear.

Thats my only guess

I tried rev matching every gear as i coasted down to a stop. It was very odd.

I hope it was just a fluke.

That happens to me sometimes too, but mostly in 6th gear. I just put it in 5th and then try 6th again and that usually solves the problem. My problem could be that I usually go 1-2-3-4-6, skipping 5th. I don't think it's anything big to worry about.
