My Z was keyed over a year ago, just down the drivers side, front fender, door and rear fender. I have a $500 deductible, the invoice from the body shop was about 1200. I'd imagine it would be worth it for you to pay the $1000 deductible, it's gonna be expensive to repaint the whole car in your case.

 

yeah dude my boy had his black convertable like a day and someone keyed it, right in the parking lot of the don pablos mexican kitchen! wtf people should learn to respect what others have worked for!

 

People who do that are so low. I drive a ****ty car: 94 Camry, but I would NEVER intentionally damage someone else's property...even if I had beef with you.

If I did supposedly have beef with you, there are so many other places in life where we could compete to see who is better and not stoop to the level of seeing who is a bigger dirt bag. Life is worth so much more than to go around keying people's cars.

But what can we do? There are people in this world with nothing to lose. Personally, if I saw someone committing a crime, just be a good witness unless if it involves a threat to your life. There are many more venues that are so much more satisfying to watch than putting your foot in his face. The art of torture is that you have the luxury of time. Drag them to criminal court as well as civil court and try to get as much "bad" publicity for them as possible. As long as you are on the right side, the ball is in your court.

 

Damn that sucks. Everytime i get into my car after parking it somewhere i look for key marks since i know the world is full of haters.
Change your deductible to $500, wait a few weeks, then file a claim.

Yeah man , this is what I'd recommend. Change your deductible to $500 and then wait. Doesn't even have to be a few weeks. Could be a week -- the insurance company can't prove that you changed your deductible after your car was keyed. AFter you change it file a police report and submit your claim.

 

File and insurance claim. Take the car to a respected body shop.

I used to live in Palos Verdes, it's suppossed to a good neighborhood, but damn, same thing happened to my sister. We just bought a new bmw but she just got in a car accident so we lent her the car. She didn't even drive around for a week, and the bimmer was keyed at her HS parking lot. wtf, there are a lot of haters out there, i wish cars would come with cameras so you can catch those ******* and make them pay.

 

Don't you think they would want to take a look at your car before they change the deductible? Just makes sense to me if I was an insurance agent.

always look at the plus, if your not happy with your color now you can change it and not pay a dime, claim it under Insurance and get a police report. My freind in Florida got his rare street legal silvia keyed and they stole some emblems he didnt touch the car but the police finger printed the hatch and guess what they found one guy and he took the blame. Look at the plus youll have a nice shiny paint job now and you get to start clean.

If it makes you feel better. My old 99 Civic got keyed from the driver's side mirror to the tail light.

 

hey man i will tell you a story. I was at school one day and i way the new kid there. I was leaving early one day and to go home and what do i see. There is a guy with a key in his hand keying my new celica in the parking lot. so i get behind him and then he get scard. I said is that the new kids car . He said yea so i said damn **** him i was going to ****ing key that new kids car. so he laugh and tured around and keep on keying it . so i thought it was ****ing funny that he keep on keying it so then i tap on his sholder and and he truned around and say what up man . I said guss what man and he got all **** and said dude i am trying to finsh keying this ****ers car . I smiled and said this is the ****ers car and punche his head in to my car it made a dent then i called the school cops and the reall cops . the cops show up and said what happen I said this kid key my car and i cought him the cop then i got a new paint job and evrything for free thanks to dumn *** like some people thank .

all i can say is that people that key cars are straight punks. rather than coming to you if they have a problem, they use scary tactics. i believe the lack of respect for other people's property is the lowest crime (besides pedophilia and murder of course) and i would personally deliver such a beat down to anyone i found touching my z that they wouldn't be able to feed themselves for the rest of their lives!!!!!
