Default Changed recently...

I used to hang about 18 CD, didn't listen to the radio. That was because I had an older BOSE system. After installing the new amp per the TSB, now I hang out at 20 to 22 on CDs and around 20 for the radio.

WHen I want to "fell" it, I kick it up to 24. Highest so far 27 or so...

I hit 20 on CDs, radio is significantly lower, so I have to turn it up, but due to not so great quality in my area and lots of hills, its all staticy, so I still leave the radio around 20 as well, altho its a lower 20 than the CD 20.

this is bose.

What settings do you guys use for Bass, Treble, and Fade?

I can't seem to get any real feeling of bass, it's just a lot of treble. Sharp highs are virtually none existant. I have the newer Bose amp.

Volume set at 20? I must be too conservative. I do have the Bass set at +2 and the treble at +1. All other settings are at factory.

I have the standard stereo, and usually run between 9-11 depending on whether it is a CD or Radio or what the road noise is like). I would run with the radio off, but the girlfriend likes the music.

Used to like 30......but it wasn't loud enough, so I put in a JL 300/2 & VR650-CSi's. Now, only 15 is necessary.

Oh, yah, appx. 103 dBs.

Aren't you worried about your hearing being permanently damaged?

Talking At 28...

My rearview mirror starts to shake with the bass and it makes me dizzy... LOL

No, really, it vibrates with the bass.

As others said, I drove around with no music for about 2 hours on saturday, just listening to the engine and the road...

I usually have it at 18, but I always turn the volume down when I see the glass on the hatch vibrating.

What did you say, Wayne?

Actually, I probably did that a long time ago. I worked in a GM pressing plant for a short while. But what did more damage was standing too close to Rock bands. Like have you ever seen/heard Savoy Brown live? Even I had to cover my ears! AND.....when I raced my Spitfire, with a megaphone tail pipe, ear plugs wern't even considered. So, the JL 300/2 works for me!
