Um, no. Hurricane Katrina - 'nuff said.

Virginia (my home state) requires front plates. I don't think they look bad, really don't understand this "spoil the view" thing. Besides, 90% of the time my view is from inside the car!

 

Yeah - not to change the direction of the thread, but I think when you live in a place that requires the front plate, you become used to it just like we are all used to the rear plate.
