rattles
How many people have taken their car into the dealer to get a rattle fixed?
I have one rattle that is driving me nuts because it seems like it should be easy to locate but I've tried pressing here and there and can't get it to stop. It is comming from the small 3 guage cluster. It kind of sounds like the glass cover or retaining ring on one of them rattling but I don't think that's what is causing the noise.
I also had a rattle on my interior hatch cover that I got after I installed my spolier but I finally fixed that one myself.

From my experience, dealers cannot fix rattles. If they do, they create 3 new ones for every old one they fix.
I recommend going to a top-of-the-line car audio installer instead. These guys know rattles and how to fix them.

I agree with Manu; dealers will just make matters worse. They'll just give the problem to some high school kid who changes oil part time. He'll make matters worse.
Try finding it with a friend in the car rather than doing it yourself. The audio installer idea sounds good if you can find one to do it. I have no experience with this.

Have you been able to alleviate the rattle when pressing on a particular area of your dash?
My instrument gauge was buzzing right where the dash met the backside of the instrument gauge assembly, and I used a small bit of black cloth to wedge between the windshield and the dash to apply enough pressure to remove the noise.

if you have a service manual (so you know how to remove all the panels) you'll probably be better off trying to fix it yourself. some guys have said to find a dealer that has a tech that specializes in rattles, but I have yet to find one in my area. besides, the service manual basically tells the techs to fix rattles with some tape and glue. sorry, but based on my experiences I wouldn't trust a nissan tech to take the time and care to correctly address much of anything on my car.
