I went to http://www.nissansportmag.com/ and read about the change under FAQs.

They're honoring all Sport Z Magazine subscriptions and advertising contracts.

Greetings 350Z owners, I see you obviously have heard the sad news that the publisher of Sport Z, Robert Bell, has decided to retire. But sometimes, when one door closes, another opens. In other words, don't panic. What's behind that door will make you 350Z fans breath easier.

I’d like to introduce Nissan Sport, a new all-Nissan, all-Datsun, all-Infiniti magazine started and co-owned by the key now-former employees of Sport Z Magazine. Most if not all key writers from Sport Z are coming aboard (still in the process of contacting all of them). Just about every advertiser has offered Nissan Sport their full support and commitment. More importantly, though, we worked out an agreement with Bob Bell late Friday afternoon of last week that will make fans of Sport Z ecstatic.

Nissan Sport will honor--in full--all Sport Z subscriptions and will have the same great Z coverage. And more. We’re starting an incredible project car: a tube-frame 350Z race car (see our website for a short preview). We’ll be beefing up aftermarket shootouts and comparos. Adding more tech tips DIY advice. Other big news: Nissan Sport will be shipped in a protective polybag. The annual subscription price drops to only $14.95. And we are expanding page count by at least another eight pages since we will be accommodating the full line of Nissan vehicles (not all at once, mind you).

Look for the first issue to be mailed out in early September. Essentially, 90 percent of the magazine that was going to ship this Summer as Sport Z will ship this Fall as Nissan Sport. Right now we have an introductory special of $12.95, which expires July 31. For more information on Nissan Sport, including a detailed FAQ on how much Z coverage you can expect, go to our website, www.nissansportmag.com. I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised. Please pass this information along to your friends, forum members, and fans of Sport Z.

I apologize for not getting this announcement out sooner. Art, DaveO, Mike and I have been working late nights for much of the past month to make this happen. We didn't want to see the opportunity to build on a great magazine go away. The Nissan Sport team is determined to deliver the absolute best niche car magazine on the market, and any support you can offer is much appreciated.

This will be one of my last posts as Sport Z Magazine. Look for me soon under Nissan Sport. If you have questions, write me anytime at daveb@nissansportmag.com. Thanks for the understanding and see you in our pages.

Ahh!! This is probably why I never got an e-mail back. I placed an order way back in May and never recieved the t-shirt I ordered. Am I ever going to get it or at least a refund for it?

the magazine needs to really change up with the times and generation and ramp up their graphic design and layout skills. the graphic visuals are still stuck in the 90s it seems; one big factor in terms of magazine "eye-catching" magazine stand sales

Tell those fools to do more shootouts, those issues were golden.

Nice to see the change. I thought it was pretty dated before.

Our goal is to have a shootout in every single issue. Won't happen right away, but we are working in that direction. That's what subscribers want, so that's what we'll put into Nissan Sport.

Just curious if NissanSport will be available on newstands such as B&N or Borders, or maybe the local drug stores?

Nissan Sport may not be available on newsstands right out of the gate with our first issue, which we are targeting for an early September release. We are working on that, and hope to make it readily available in stores country-wide as soon as possible.

Good to hear. I didn't renew my subscription, mainly for lack of engaging content and writing. I will check out the new mag, though.

Thanks for the info.

To Dave and the Staff ,

I am one of your 5 year subscription renewers and long time subscribers , and I have COMPLETE FAITH in you and the new magazine . My thanks goes out to Bob , he really filled a GIANT need . I thought the content of SportZ was terrific , always well written and thought out . If your staff can build on that , then we are going to have one heck of a magazine . Thanks and good luck !

I might subscribe the new new, since I missed out on the old. Does this new magazine have the support of a major publisher?

I really enjoyed the original layout. I hope the new magazine will be much of the same, with more content. Hey at least my Z and I are in the final issue

If the SportZ reason was financial, which that's what you ALWAYS heard. How in the world can you drop annual subscriptions and add even more features???

Good luck.

They told me Nissan Sport is comprised of the magazine, the newsletter, a new interactive website and classified ads. They also said just about all the Sport Z advertisers were renewing with Nissan Sport and many are upgrading their ads. He also said there's at least 4 new advertisers.

I'm going for it and will extend my Sport Z subscription with them and sign up for the news letter. Heck, I spend more than $25.00 taking my girlfriend and her kids to McDonalds (the big spender that I am-happy meals aren't cheap).
