I've learned over the years that the soaked towel for about 5 minutes does wonders for softening it up so it rinses right off rather than risking dragging it and scratching while removing. Are you suggesting then that you would use the same methods but use detail spray rather than water? I would think that you would want to just get it off without scratching then thouroughly wash all traces of it off. I always just wash the whole car anyway then if it etched the wax I use my cleaner/polish/wax system to find out if it went into the clearcoat or the waxed saved me. Can you give us a little more detail on what you know??

I totally agree about softening the poo to avoid creating scratches. I only prefer to not use water because bird poo contains a lot of uric acid crystals, which will react with water.

Regarding the etchings in the paint, I've found that they are a lot easier to get off after 1 or 2 days. So far it has always worked for me, I can only recommend that you give it a shot the next time.

That poo isn't that bad! I've had worse.

One time I was in my Civic and I was rolling through the mall parking lot and as soon as I rolled my window down a piece of poo fell from the sky and landed on the inside of my door!

Ha ha...I remember a bird poo thread from a year that made me laugh my A$$ off. One guy had a 12 step process for removing the poo.

Pressure washer? With Nissan paint? If I pressure washed my car it would no longer be black...it would be silver.

When that happens to me, I just stop by the gas station and use a windshield washer squeegee to get it off.

It is prob just a crow or something.. i remember when i had my little parakeet.. Sometimes the bird thinks they have eggs so they don't let it out and kept holding all their poo.. and when it comes out its just **** all over the place.. a very big pile of poop.. and thats only a bird 5-6 inches long.. i can't imagine how big a poop from an eagle would be.

Now that is HUGE! Try using a squeegee on that!

That's nothing, you should see squirrel poop. It looks like miniature human poop, all curled up and brown.
