Young NY Z owners (Insurance Rates)
Hi I am 18 years old and I am really interested in getting a 350z. But my problem is I went on these qoute sites and they are telling my 6,000 for 6 months. Is this around what you are paying? or did I mess something up doing these quotes?

But if you get insured under their policy, it will be at much lower rate.
Why don't you talk to their agent, and get CORRECT answer, instead of bulletin board BS.

Definately seems a little high. I also recommend calling either Esurance or Geico and speaking to someone directly. When I purchased my Z, I received quotes from both places and there was only about a $50 difference.

I have geico with a not so clean record and I pay about $2400 a year but Im a little older... 23.
Ive heard esurance is kind of shady when it comes to claims... anyone have a problem yet?
to the OP: try k&k brokerage... they have pretty low rates as well .... (718) 987-1515

I'm 21, Z is my daily-driver, I'm the sole driver on my own policy, live by myself, full coverage through Geico is about $1400 per 6 months (~$230 a month).
Cheapest I found. Actually, I got a lesser quote before from State Farm, but Geico then beat it to get my current rate.
Edit: My friend also totalled the BMW I sold him (my poor baby!) and he had Geico. I was very impressed with their service, so I doubt I'd change even if it saved me some money.
(Example: He never could get off work early enough to go get the payout check, when he told them that, they sent a guy out right then and brought the check to him at work; he got hosed by a towing company that took it to somewhere wrong, he wanted it somewhere else 25 miles away, Geico said that's fine they'll pay both tow fees to take it anywhere he wants; Very courteous people, etc)

yea, you guys are also close to 25 or older, and you don't live in the nj/ny/ct tri state area, NYC/Norther NJ area is terrible with insurance, if you can't get the insurance under parents name, then you're in a tough spot. I buy the cars, and put them under the folks' insurance.
