I really would like to paint my door handles black to match my car but eery where I ask to do this they say its a bad idea cause the paint will eventually crack off do to the type of material the handles are. I'm just trying to find out if anyone out there has done this to their car and what they did and if they have had any issues with this.

 

with the right prep and some clear i would think you could paint anything.

 

i know i have seen cars that have done it.. Doesnt look bad at all.. It shouldnt be any different than painting any other parts of your car.. An experienced body shop shouldnt have a problem doing it

 

yeh ive actually been wondering the same thing. i have gunmetal wheels on my ppw Z. i wiped the black off of the side Z logos like someone, (i forget who), mentioned in a thread a while back. and i thoguht it would look good to paint the door handles and side z logos a gunmetal color to match my wheels. not really a thick paint, but more of a lighter waterish? paint maybe? if anyone has any ideas, i'd be interested to hear also..
