Umm I dont know if I'm 100% correct in assuming they dont have same safety car regulations as USA, so it will take a while more money importing it, so in the end even if you pay less for the car you might pay just as much trying to make the car legal....I dont know, since the car is already in america why import it?

Z in korea is a lot more expensive. As a matter of fact, there is no nissan dealer there although Infinity dealer is there. Zs in korea are all personal imports.

people think that getting a car from another country will be cheaper but its not. you pay for shipping, state tax, license tax, and etc. what ever tax that country has and all countries use different gas cuz of smog. so u pay about same price getting it from here in the states. as for getting it from korea man i think its better to just get it from japan.

It's very hard to find a single country that has cheaper Japanese product than USA.

Even mercedes here is cheaper than in Germany.

Welcome.

1. Visit South Korea and find the car that you want.
Cost $15,000 USD.
Plane fare and accommodations: $1,000

2. Ship to west cost: $500

3. Find a west coast shop to convert from JDM to US specifications: $10,000

4. USDOT approval and paperwork to put car on the road: $1,000.

5. Ship from west coast to Michigan: $500.

Total cost: $28,000

i suggest u find out how much a Z costs in South Korea or any other asian nations before even thinking that the price will be cheap. i get annoyed when ppl make stupid and ignorant assumptions about asia. are u not aware that car prices in the states r cheap as hell compared to most if not any (correct me if i'm wrong) other country?

just fyi, a Z in taiwan costs approx twice as much as it is in the states.

Spent three weeks in Seoul and Pusan last fall and didn't see a single "Z" and the closest thing to an Infinity was a life-size ad for one near the dealer. Having lived in both Korea and Japan, I agree that most items (except for three-year old and older used luxury cars in Japan) are much cheaper in the States.

That's a bunch of BS.
Even their own domestics such as Hyundai and Kia cost about the same as here in US.
And the foreign import cars there? Don't even get me started on it.
Ridiculous amount of tariff and demand for foreign cars make them A LOT
more expensive in Korea.
Volvos go for $60,000. If you want to buy a same car there it will
cost you at least 1.5x to 2x more than here.
For example, BMW 330i goes for about $74,000. Audi A4 3.2 goes for about $71,000.
Infiniti G35 coupe = $54,000

Since Nissan isn't officially imported in Korea, the Z prices match that of Porsche 911s.

Do you want to buy Z in Korea now?
You should feel lucky that you live in US. We seriously get one of best
prices when it comes to cars.
