do G35 have problems like Zs?
i was just wondering if g35s have problems like the Zs do with tranny, tire, clutch etc since both cars are practically the same. Zs are not cheap cars so im wondering why some people have problem with their Zs. i personally dont yet and hopefully never.

As a newcomer, it seems to me that the more complicated a car is, the more problems will be "built into" it . . .
I have heard the "Z" car referred to as the "Japanese Corvette".
But if you think the "Z" has problems, check out the Chevrolet Corvette forums

My previous car was a 2003 G35, so I'll add a few that I know of:
Clutch problems -- a few cases
Clicking rear axle
Premature wearing of brake pads and warped rotors - supposedly fixed on newer models.
Window grease streaking
Failing of a/c & heater controllers
Dim bulbs in clock
Popping sound from door panels -- window regulator too close to door panel
Creaking/popping sound from rear deck area.

ive been on this forum for awhile and there been total respect between the z owners and g owners read before you post
I'm on my second ZR, never had problems with the 04 except for the tire roar which was fixed under warranty, my 06 is brand new but alll has been promising in the first 1500. FOR WHAT IT'S WORTH! INFINITI services Z as a NISSAN DEALERSHIP. WARRANTY REPAIRS NO PROBLEMS and a HIGHER DEGREE of SERVICE I feel. The INFINITI dealership I use near Boston is extremely clean, great techs and service managers, udgraded customer lounge and servies, no Altimas, Quests, or Pathfinders full of screaming soccer moms. I might have to buy my wife an M45, mmmm nice mommy car...but try INFINITI for factory service - it's definately an upgrade.
