That is some excellent input. Right now im leaning towards the Z however I know that once I get to test driving ill get back in the middle cuz of the evos mad pull.

Get a VR-4, lol. J/k. I got a Z, didn't even bother looking at the evo or sti, I did look at an Rx-8, only because I was at a mazda dealership looking for an rx-7, lol.

maybe you should get a Subaru wrx. its easy to mod and doesn't come with that big ugly wing. Its actually kind of low key looking.

[QUOTE=bboypuertoroc]I love SRT 4's... they're bad *** little *****. The only things that suck are that it's wrong-wheel drive and it's born from a Neon.[QUOTE]

BECAUSE SRT is a Neon AND because it's a Dodge (Long history of POOR reliability) AND because 99% of the time I see a Neon, a female is behind the wheel AND because it's corny looking, like the VW Beetle =

Neon SRT gets NO Love from me...Hell NO!

You prolly got whooped by one... it might not be the hottest thing on four wheels, but it's built like a **** brickhouse.

If you're a college student you should get a Toyota Corolla and enjoy the gas mileage you get, and the money you'll be saving for future endeavors.

Another thing to consider I think is reliability, and this would be applicable for when the cars are beyond the warranty period. And please don't take this to be a biased comment in favor of the Z over the Evo...just trying to over objective commentary.

The 350z makes between 287 and 300 peak HP (theoretically) at the crank, depending on which year/model you buy, and it is naturally aspirated. The power is then transmitted to the ground through the rear wheels only. On the other hand the Evo makes around 300 HP (I don't know the actual rating...sorry!) using a smaller engine with a turbo. Then its power is transmitted to the ground via all four wheels.

Generally speaking the number of parts comprising the power train (engine + transmission) of a turbocharged AWD vehicle will be greater than that of a naturally-aspirated RWD vehicle. Also generally speaking, increasing the number of parts in a mechanical system increases the number of parts that can potentially fail in a mechanical system. Again maybe this is a minor concern, but it's a thought I had nonetheless.

lol. As for reliability...I don't think the Z is any more reliable than an EVO. Both have major and minor issues.

You know its kinda true, people get annoyed by the slow acceleration. By the time i hit 40-45, the driver next to me is about one buslength ahead.

What's the deal with exotic car owners? If they were next to me, I would've been a bus length in front, amazing huh? lol

You can't go wrong with either car. But i would get the track edition 350z if youre going toget a 350. My bro has a evo IX, i gotta admit its a nice car( complete different than evo 8, no ugly front bumper, black tailights, and very nice interior, leather recaro's).350z is more of a luxurious car and not built to go fast. the evo was meant to go fast and not to be really luxurious ,but an evo as a daily driverisnt easy. You can't go wrong with either car, but i believe the evo is more practical cause of the 4 doors and a 4cyl and AWD, they have also been making the 4G63 motor for 16 years so theyre reliable. but these are just my opinions.

I dunno about that. I have blown 2 of those engines in my old eclipse. I was not pushing crazy WHP, one was my stock engine at 100k miles with no mods then I got another one and modded and blew it then said F it and bought a Z. I think I just had bad luck.

But yeah EVO's are damn quick but I still picked the Z. Was a hard choice though. ( <--- was a serious mitsu fanboi )

Wierd... I don't know of too many people with blown 4G63's... it's usually the installed parts that break or the tranny that goes. The engine can take damn near anything you can throw at it.

THAT would be a NEGATIVE...I don't feel that I have to prove ANYTHING on the streets and I don't look for people to race on highways ..dangerous and stupid..IMHO.

My point simply is that Neon is a Dodge and however you dress it up and add turbos or whatever....The car is prone to reliability issues ..as are most Dodge vehicles.

Good Luck to you and make sure you are 110% when you choose. Both are good cars. The EVO does not look like rice to me at all. I just think the 350Z is sexy.

In my situation, I knew I wouldn't be racing all the time. I'd probably be in jail right now. That's why I choose the 350Z. The 350Z is a fast car, it's just the EVO is half a notch faster off the line. 350Z will hang or beat the EVO on the freeway. (Stock vs. Stock)

The EVO is great to race with and if the laws weren't as strict I might have gotten that. I am 100% satisfied with the 350Z though. If I need more room, I'll just buy a beater car or use my mom's Civic.
