How to remove graphic Nismo decals from the hood?
Can anyone give me any advice on how to remove the Nismo graphic from the hood of the car?
Heat it up with a hairy dryer?
GooGone?
Thanks.
My brother wants to purchase this car but it has the graphic on the hood. He will not purchase it unless it can be removed without damaging the paint. It is an 05 yellow ZR

You can probably remove it by heating it up and carefully peeling it with a razor blade. To get the extra adhesive off either goo gone or goof off can be used (but one of these will hurt the paint, the other won't)

Use the hair dryer. But don't heat up the paint too much or it'll blister. Then just carefully peel it off. The next step would be to use goo gone to take the rest of the glue off. The last step would be to use a good wax on the hood to protect the paint.
I work for a sign company. We do this all the time.

The best way is to heat it up and use floss to slice it off. Floss wont cut the paint. I used it to remove the decal. Goo gone will also remove paint, so i suggest to use rubbing alcohol. That doesn't desolve the clear coat like goo be gone or acetone does, so use that. It works real nice. Make sure to wax the area afterwords!

not too much heat... dont want to cook the paint...
If its on the hood, you can almost go out for a drive and let the hood heat up and then start pealing it off...
If you get it too hot, depending on the vinyl, you may peal the paint as well...
good luck!
(we have Carbon fiber hoods available if needed... eh eh )

Also, go to a paint store and ask someone who works there. We bought an SUV a few years ago that had pinstipes on it, and we bought some stuff from a paint store that they recommended to remove them and not damage the paint. I can't remember what it was called, but it came in a small clear spray bottle.
