Default 04 Silverstone vs. 03 Silver can't decide!!!

Hi everyone, I took a serious look at various Z's today, but have not actually made a purchase. My purse is pretty tight right now, but by no means is that gonna stop me from getting my dream vehicle hehe.

So I made a couple of trips, found some annoying car salesmen, found some 06 models that were totally ridiculously overpriced, and found some used Z's that were incredibly overpriced for how much they depreciate. So I found myself two nice deals.

First one: 04 Silverstone Enthusiast (my favorite color next to Black) with an Eclipse Navigation Sytem that also includes a fully integrated DVD/CD/RADIO players. The final offer of the dealer is $23,473 + Tax + Lic.

Second choice: 03 Silver (honestly, I almost hate this color) Enthusiast, it's been babied for three years however (so good for me!). The offer is a good price of $20,995 + Tax + Lic.

So everyone help me out . . . . . . here's what I'm worried about.

If I get the 03 Silver, I'm going to have an empty feeling in my stomach for not getting the NAV system and the improved sound system.

If I get the 04 Silverstone, I'm going to freak out about being broke and am going to start working my *** off to pay the bills and take care of gas and everything.

So peeps, which one would you go for?

Just to clarify things, which do you think I will be getting the BEST DEAL out of the two - i.e., the most "value" for my "expenditure."

Thanks alot

Go with the '04 Silverstone - my last car was a silver RSX and I love the Silverstone on the Z so much more. Personally i am just not a big fan of the silver on the Z - not sure why. Also sounds like you prefer the Silverstone - you're going to have the car for the next few years - get the one you want more.

If an extra few thousand dollars financed over several years is going to break you, you should really consider waiting until you are in a better financial position before buying....

Your "dream car" won't be stock for long, you will probably end up modding it. Before you know it you will be having a "going out of business sale, all parts must go" like so many others on here have....

If you must buy, Id say keep shopping, You can probably find a better deal than either of those.

id go with the 03 but if u hate the color then why get it? and if your spending the extra cash on the 04 just bc of the nav. you can add an aftermarket nav. to the 03 and have your choice of nav. system. but from past experiences, nav and stereo systems are over rated and just a "bling" feature to me. After the first couple weeks you will rarely use your nav or "bump" your stereo system. If i was you i would look for a better deal. Maybe wait til the weather gets a little colder and a rear wheel drive sportscar isnt in high demand. I got my 03 touring without nav last year with 29k on it for $21,999. goodluck

I really wanted the silverstone as well, but found an 03 silver for a really good deal and jumped on it. It had a popcharger, nismo spoiler, some nismo stickers (and r-type stickers which I decided to take off.. didn't even need a hairdryer to loosen it thanks to the heatwave! Always gotta look at the silver lining), a high end Alpine Deck, a rockford fosgate amp, sub, tinted windows, new rims n tires. overall, I've definitely gotten used to the silver and love my car! I don't regret getting silver whatsoever..

My advice.. if you can wait.. wait until you find what you like. (I got my car for $18, 250!). If you can't wait, I'd spend the extra money and maybe look at getting a loan so that the monthly expense won't be so draining.. your cost difference between the two over 5 years is $41 extra. not too too bad for getting the color and extras that you really want.. just depends on if you really want them or if they'd just be "nice" to have.

Good luck and tell us what you decide on!

Congrats .... However, if you see me in my silverstone ... It's OK, you can wave. Some of the guys don't like to have the exact same car. I think it's very cool. Shows our love for Zcar that's all.

Sign up for photbucket.com It's free, load your pictures then it's just a cut and paste away. easy ....

See....
