Default little help on deciding

Hey I drive a acura tl atm. I plan that I will have enough money for a 2003 Z by next march. Now I know a little bit about manual like I know how to drive a manual car and all but not that great. When I get a Z what would you guys recommend? By the time ill get the z ill have enough experiance in manual anyways so I would pick from either auto or manual. Whats the difference in the car itself in a auto 2003 or a manual 2003 model, hp and such etc. Does the manual shift smoothly? Are they any extras in the car itself between a manual and a auto? What do you guys recommend on getting or what do most of you have. Thanks

You may want to edit your age out. You will recieve nothing but flaming, I know from experience. If you can drive a manual comfortably I suggest to get one. It's a Z, not some granny car (no offense to you auto drivers). They shift real smooth although the clutch is like no other I've driven. It will take some getting used to. No real extras that I can think of, well besides an extra pedal.

March of 2007 gives you plenty of time to figure all this stuff out.

The clutch is a lot tighter and disengages farther in the pedal movement. The clutch also has very little play compared to others. From what I've heard it's pretty much a racing clutch, by means of how it feels.

Get the manual if possible; it is more fun.

I don't get it when people talk negatively about clutch. Never been an issue for me. My 03 Z shifts like a swiss watch.

i don't think the Track models come with leather standard....i could be wrong though.
original 03 owner here....no clutch or tranny issue whatsoever...i actually prefer the positive notchy shifter myself.

I wasn't talking negatively about it, just saying it's different from the clutch in most cars.

Get whatever you're more comfortable in. If the thought if sitting at a stoplight on a steep incline with someone right on your butt makes you nervous...get the Auto.

I highly suggest the manual. I drove a stick for a few years before I had the Z in an Rx7. That was TERRIBLE in traffic.

I bought the stick knowing that I would have to be shifting a million times per day in traffic, but its worth it when you are trying to have fun.

I would personally never buy a sports car with an auto. Never.

+1,000,000 The ONLY sportcar I ever bought with AT (and it shouldn't have BEEN bought in the first place!) was an '87 Fiero GT...and that was because the MT was positioned so high you actually had to reach UP and shift. Ridiculous, but true...Check out this pic and you'll see what I mean (not MY old Fiero BTW):
