I almost went for black myself when I was looking for mine. I love black, but on the Z I think it needs a color where it brings the bodylines out. Red all the way in this instance!

Being inside a Black Z in 100 degree+ weather MUST be like being inside a pressure cooker or a MF pot of boiling water...

Go with da red Z, baby!

Red. Always looks hot and easier to keep looking clean.

Silverstone! Kidding aside, I like black (I have a black pickup). Black is stealth but hot in Texas . . . red is a speeding ticket magnet but is also a beautiful color.

Is this one of those threads where members who drive a black 350Z say black, and those with a red 3250Z say red? Oh boy we are having some fun now!

Red. Sports car convertibles should be red. This is what I learned from my uncle years ago, and I've never doubted his word.

Now that I think about it, every one of the dozens of compliments I've got on the car is almost always followed by some variant of, "...and what a great color for this car too!".

Whichever of the two you get, be sure to keep it VERY clean; dark colors need daily upkeep. I have seen redlines that were so dull due to lack of maintenance, I was surprised they were the same paint code as mine. A coworker stopped by my desk last week and said he thought he was following me into the parking lot in the morning, but when that red Z went in the opposite direction and the sun reflected off its side, he said he realized it couldn't be mine. His exact words were, "it didn't even look the same. It actually had hard water spots on it...yuck".

BLACK
If you’re talking about just the better looking color, then definitely black, but if you’re looking for less maintenance then go with the red (Silverstone is even nicer). But I’ve had a couple of Z owners (red, and yellow) look at my car next to their after its all clean an waxed, and I get the same response “I shoulda got black.”

I would say black if you know how to detail a car ... red if you don't
