Before turning off your Z, press the clutch in and turn the key to OFF and no more rattling noise

I think if you feel that you don't like the build quality, then its time for a new car. At least that is how I would feel.
But for me its the opposite. I like the build quality. Its been tight thus far.

A few people have told me the interior looks a lot cheaper than a lexus or bmw, and it obviously should, because it IS cheaper, and costs a lot less. But for the price of the car, I think it has pretty good build quality. My car before the Z rattled and squeaked all the time, and the Z only has that rear hatch cover squeak. So its a nice improvement for me.

I have an annoying rattling sound coming from what looks like the hatch area or the strut bar. I've been too lazy to take care of it. Shows you how much it bothers me.

But cheap? ... no ... maybe compared to an SL600 ... but compared to riced out neons, no. Uhm.. no.

Wait, wait... .... .... no ...

No, the very first time I ever sat in one (it was an '04 Touring) was enough to convince me I wanted one! In fact, I think the interior fit and finish on these cars is excellent.

+1. The sound deadening that added all those pounds to our Zs seems to have worked. Oh, and having no rattles to begin with does help.

I think Nissan left sound deadener out of the door panels for a lot of their cars 02-04. I have two in from those years and both have doors that feel like tin. My 06 Z feels very solid, I think they finally took the hit on weight and made them feel more solid. (Really the same, just feel different) One thing that seems much better on my 06 is the paint. My Magnetic Black Z has much better, deeper paint than my other Nissans. Maybe they are finally listening to customers on that point.
