Take a look at this post about delivery date notification. Would be great if this happens as far as helping us get ready for taking delivery (e.g. financing, vacation or whatever else you are planning)

I was told early September by my dealer awhile back. Funny you mention vacation because I'm going to be in San Francisco for 4 days in early Sept, and then in Croatia and Montenegro for 10 days in early to mid-Sept. I'm certain it's going to arrive while I'm gone.

 

Dun, you should talk to your dealer and find out their policy on that. Some dealers will put a car for sale on the show floor if the person who ordered it does not pick it up within 48 hours.

 

That would be cool if we did get another mailing. But my dealer has kept in touch with me and vice versa. He told me that about 30 days before delivery, he'd call to set up an appointment for me to come in and work on my financing and trade-in stuff, so that it will be taken car of before the Z arrives. That way, the day the Z comes in, I can just go pick it up with no hassle. I'd check with your dealer and see if they'll do the same.

 

I'm trying to avoid the situation that occurred when I ordered my M3. It was on boat coming to the US at the same time I was on a plane to Europe for a two week business trip. The car made it to the dealer about a week before I got back.
