Default What do you think is the lowest price I can get on a base 06 350Z?

Hi everyone. I'm currently a 01 A4 owner and am interested in a base 2006 350z. I want to get the best price possible and was wondering whats the lowest price you think I can deal down to? I live in Dallas, TX. Should I wait a while longer since the 07 are coming out and that may bring the price down more?

Just try to find one used.

I ended up picking up a used 06 fully loaded Grand touring 350Z for $32,000 (after tax), which is about 10k less than what it would have ran me new. Im sure you could find a low end model for pretty cheap.

The Base is not a popular model. Considering that it is August you will be lucky if you can even locate a Base.

I looked up the inventories of some of the dealers here in dallas and they carry quite a few bases.

For some reason I think roadster sales are much higher than that...

Find the car that you want. Post the MSRP.

Did a search on the forums and saw that a lot of members got their base for $25k - $26k before TTL. And some got it down slightly under $25k.

Depends on the dealership your doing bussiness with, some are hurting to move inventory others not so much... If you want the lowest price possible you need to find a dealership that has had a base model sitting on there lot for a long time and wanting to move it then you should have no problem getting like $500 below invoice..

A word of caution about the I got my 350Z for $500 below invoice posts in the new owners forum: have you ever seen one such claim backed-up with a scanned purchase agreement?

And to add: The person claiming they got it for $XXX will not sell you the car. Your dealer determines the price, no one else.

+1, best I did for myself was $2k below MRSP on my 2004 Roadster... But it seems just about everyone else on here has gotten $500-$1500 below invoice, makes you wonder...

My 2 cents... I just bought my 06' Base about 3 months ago brand new. The dealer showed me his so-called invoice and it showed 25,800usd. Not sure if this was valid or not, but allowed him to entertain me... Basically, he asked if 500 over invoice was fair... meaning the dealer needed to make a fair profit and myself a good deal. Seemed like a straight up deal to me. So the sale price ended up being 26,300usd. W/ TTL and some accessories the final 'out-the door' price was around 30 grand. Paid w/ a check and couldnt be happier... love the car. The 06' base comes w/ the items i most cared for (that were missing in the earlier base's) Namely the HIDs. I dont use cruise control and the LSD doesnt interest me, since I plan to use an aftermarket one. According to posts on this forum... i probably paid alot more than others... but I really can't see how people paid BELOW invoice on a car that isnt a slow mover. Especially, in Texas... Alot of Z sales here.
-Btw, my intentions were to buy a used 04' touring... but GLAD I ended up w/ a Brand New 06' base instead... nothing like a new car.
Good luck w/ your buy !!

I'm in the same predicament. I'm trading in my 95' maxima and the dealership here is offering me a 06' 350z base for 22k after taxes, 2k deposit and 3500 for my trade in. They also have an 05' white base for sale w/ 3k miles on it for 21k after taxes, 2k deposit and 3500 trade in but my step dad thinks we can get it for 20k. Before some of you start throwing in haymakers because you think my parents are the type to buy me the car, I'm paying for it. I need to get payments at 400 a month because insurance is 220 until it goes down in November. 620 is a lot of money for me a month but I pull in about 1200 now w/ my job. Not that it's anyones business but I feel that throwing that bit of info out will help some of you sleep better to know someone elses life isnt easier than yours.

Paid $26,500 including Gold extended warranty. I guess they gave me a Military Discount, since the car was stickered at $28,8000 with 4 mile son the clock. I still don't think I got the best deal though for a Base, which is all you really need anyway.

www.carbuyingtips.com

Read this about 20 times before you decide to aggressively pursue the deal. It will teach you about MSRP versus Dealer Invoice, and MOST IMPORTANTLY Nissan Dealer Holdback (2.75% of MSRP). Using this information is very important in your negotiating. I bought my Base two weeks ago for 25,200 (plus 605 destination charge). Included in the deal is free synthetic oil changes and car washing for life.

I just spent a few months on this topic so if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to PM me...
