Default anyone who crashed thier car?

most likely some of you guys on this forum have been in a small accident that has been repairable...just wondering, when you guys got the car back from the body shop if you guys thought of the car differently from when you had it before the crash. I am asking this because im getting my car back from the body shop within a week and i dont really feel as excited because the area where i got the crash will stick out to me even though its all fixed..thanks for any input

Mine was in the shop for almost 4 months. Tractor trailer thought the Z was not short enough and rear-ended me when I was stopped for a train at a RR crossing. The body shop did a great job and for me it was like geting a new car all over again, only had it for 6 months before the accident. After 4 months in rentals (other guys insurance paid for them) a Nissan Quest mini-van and Pontiac G6 (what a POS) it was a relief to get back in the Z. Don't let the body shop off the hook to early make sure you are happy with all of the repairs and make sure they give you an itemized list of what they did so you can go back to them if you find problems. A reputable shop will fix anything they do if a problem crops up with it.

those are normal feelings. you know your car and it is apart of you. you will always feel the pain for the rest of your life because your car is your baby. it is like one of your children getting hurt and in the hospital but you always know what happened to them.

My wife and I got into an accident in March in her Mazda 3 with only 4,000 miles on it at the time. We got it back about a month later but it is just a real bummer knowing that it has been in an accident.

So the answer to your question is, yes the car just feels different, knowing that it has been wrecked ( to me and my wife ).

If you get it repaired at a very good body shop you won't be able to tell the difference. I had a bumper and rear fender replaced and one fender repaired and I can't tell that there was body work done. The body shop had it for 2 months but they only did work on it for 2-3 weeks.

If there is no unibody damage you won't be able to tell the difference.
Although i plan on buying an 07 around Feb because i'm ****.
