Does anyone from the ATL area know of some good driving roads in N. GA? I want to go spend the day driving around there.

 

I took Rt. 129 up to the "tail of the dragon" in NC/TN after the Petite Le Mans last October. Rt. 129 in N. GA is a great road, but if you take it, go all the way to the dragon in Deals Gap, NC. It is worth the extra hour drive. Check road conditions and get great area maps at www.tailofthedragon.com. Take the loop where you go into TN and take the Cherahola Skyway back to Robbinsville, NC and come back down Rt. 129 to GA. It is the greatest piece of road I have ever been on.

 

We were gonna go to the Dragon today, but we got up late and everyone that was going with us backed out. Where can you catch 129 at or where does it get good.

 

We picked up 129 in Gainsville after the Petite and it started to get nice after Cleveland. If you are that close, just go the Dragon! I wish I lived closer!
