Default taking z to work

Okay so I just got my z and I work in jack in the box. And i just wanna get opinons on wheter or not I should take my car to work. im just concerned about haters that wil maybe key the car. And what do you guys think about ppl thatll say omg look at him he works at jack in the box and has a z. I think of the z as just another car thatll will be way more common pretty soon. Its like if I take a high ranged honda accord thats in the same price range ppl wont say or do **** .

Just give me some input on this situation.

I think it's pretty impressive that you work at JITB and still managed to save up for the Z. That shows some real hard work and dedication.

As for taking the Z there, I guess it would be helpful to know what kind of neighborhood the place is in. I always take my Z to work, but it's in a huge corporate parking lot in the middle of Audi's, and BMW's (even on Ferrai 575) so my Z is protected by the other cars. However, even with all those other fancy cars out there, my Z got all kinds of attention when I first got it. The first two days I had it at work were spent showing it to everyone in our company, from the Janitor to the GM. Every one really liked it.

If you are in an area where people see nice cars, I doubt you'll have too many problems since many people seem to really like the Z. Is there a good parking space where you can park it and see it out the window of something?

It's a tough call. Maybe if you are really nervous you could wait a couple months until the Z isn't so new anymore.

Good luck and enjoy!

Best if not. Fast food place tons of people go in and out everyday, not to mention cars driving in and out of the parking lot/drive thru. Better be safe than sorry. But wont hurt to drive it there once a while to show it off .

Gotta give you props for working hard for getting your Z. Im still working on mine, soon tho...soon....

I wouldn't take it to work, i would give it 2 weeks max before someone keyed it. Then you'd have to track them down and cut off their sack.

I think you should quit working at jack in the box. their food sucks

-- the eggrolls of course which are good.

If I worked at jack in the box and had 30k+ to buy a Z, I'd pay for a college education and ride the bus.

are you still in high school? i am, and i dont plan on parking in student parking lot. i live in a pretty safe neighborhood where it is uncommon for kids not to have cars. there are several bmws, lexus, and more mustangs and chevy suv's than you can count, but i dont plan on parking there until the other guy at my school with a z does. as for work, i work at subway and i can park in the front where my car will be fully visible. dont really care what the co-workers think but so far they seem to WANT me to drive it there so they can see it, which is pretty cool. anyway that might help you. it all depends on where you live. most ppl here have nice cars and it is not a violent school so im very rarely do cars get keyed.... anyway hope that helps you, either way you will have to take the risk of parking it everytime you drive....

Yeah, just try and park it at a place where you can see it at all times. And make sure it's not near the sidewalk or where there's lots of pedetrian traffic.

well what are your options if you dont take the Z? do you have another car? must be doing ok if you have 2 cars and work at JITB. or would you be taking the bus? if so, take the Z. its transportation. no sense in paying twice for transportation. or will your mom drop you off? there again, i would drive the Z.

Don't do it. I find that I love to drive the Z, but if I park it somewhere and am away for a while, I get very anxious.

Remember it is just a car. If you project what could happen you will drive yourself crazy. Drive it and enjoy it. Park it where you can see it or at least check on it easily.

I wanted the Z to be my everyday car when I bought it; however, i decided to keep my 3000GT as my commuter car. I take the Metro to my job in DC and I just couldn't bring myself to park my new Z in the Metro parking lots, unable to at least check on the car every once in while. I've noticed that many people getting there in the morning are so rushed and focused on getting to the train as fast as they can that they swing their doors open and BANG! I see this happen at least once a week .
