Different Regions, Different Styles...
Have you guys noticed the trend in terms of modifying cars varies by region? In particular, I am talking about 350Z's of course. It's funny that many times you open up a thread where a member is posting his/her car pictures, and just by looking at the car style, you can pretty much guess where they are located.
For example, let's compare three large regions, where we seem to have the biggest concentration of Z's: California, Texas, Florida
California
Usually Z's in California have subtle body kit, or a relatively clean look. Full replacement bumpers are less common than a front lip, but some may choose clean full kits such as Vertex, or mild kits like Ings N-Spec. Also, many individuals here seems to get Work/Volk wheels, plus a lot of other lesser known JDM brands such as AME, etc. Some chose to run brands such as Axis, and (recently) a lot have been running Toyo tires (many choosing to run 275/35 rears).
Texas
Usually Z's in Texas are also very clean and sport subtle exterior mods. Many of them are "cleaner" than ones in California, many choosing to remove mud guards and expose agressive "beefy" rear tires, such as KDW2s (many choosing to run 285/35 rears). Wheel choice also seems to be Volk, with some people sporting Works.
Florida
Usually Z's in Florida are WILD (i.e., Veilside). It seems like a lot of people go ALL out with body kits and crazy paint jobs. Wheels choice varies from the standard Volk to bling bling chrome 20s to some black faced/chrome lipped wheel. Tires-wise I haven't really discovered a trend, so I couldn't really say. Also, Florida Z owners seem to redo interiors more-so than other regions. Heavy limo tint is also a must! (probably because tint is legal at that level in FL!)
Of course, as with everything, this is certainly not always the case, and their are exceptions. But it's just what I have noticed over the past few years. Plus this is only going by pictures I see online. In reality, it may possibly vary drastically. And there's nothing wrong with any region. I just found it interesting that you can just tell where someone is from just by their mods (visual). Of course, styles/trends are probably set and "distributed" at local meets, where people probably gather and come to some type of "consensus" as to what looks good. Then many members will choose to apply to this "agreed upon" style to their own cars.

Haha...cool. And just looking at your picture, I would never have guessed that was NY!
And yeah, I thought I would put in that comment just in case someone found it offensive. Actually, I'm really curious to know what other people have viewed as "regional trends". What have you guys noticed? About your own region/other regions?

Well I'll add to your list. Around here there are quite a few Z's, but most of them are completely stock. Besides Gringott and I, I don't know of any other modded ones in the state. I haven't gotten mine all back together yet, but here is what I've got. Other mods are in sig.
19" Ruff Racing 277 wheels (275/30, 245/35 General Exclaim UHP tires)
clear bumper reflectors
color matched headlight housings
color matched underhood covers
Daytona Blue painted strut bar
removed mud guards
removed emblems and wiper
fiberglass sub box/amp rack between rear strut bar and storage compartments

Mine are just temporary. I had to have two new wheels and tires, so I figured I'd just pick them up. I want to pick up some Axis or Volks after I get out of school and get a better job.
most of the Z's I observe around my area are stock, some have some tasteful wheels if anything - I did see a black one the other day with s-tune badging and really nice wheels
I suppose I dont see many in general around here, thats why its usually a treat to see one on the road
I am reffering to the Madsion area btw

Oh, I guess another region I should add is Canada. Oddly, (at least to me) they seem to have a style similar to California, i.e., a more JDM look.
