I have a ton of rock chimps in my front bumper like bad acne.

 

Oh yes there is a curse. In my first Z (Z32) I was robbed, beat, pistol whipped and carjacked. Then 4 months later the whole left side was smashed by a drunk driver. Got it painted brand new deep black only to have the right side slammed by a drunk driver 2 months later. I traded that one in for a 1990 Z32 and before I knew it the door was falling off from a rust spot that stared form nowhere and the the clutch freakin blew out of nowhere. Also the left exhaust can fell off while driving around town?........?
My third Z was a perfect but I had nothing but mechanical problems with it soon after. Detonation, ****ty craped out injectors and the idle would fluctuate like a *****? Just weird...

Finally I said screw it and I bought A 2003 Track w/ navi. first time I parked it over night outside the garage.........keyed from front quater panel to rear quarter panel all the way to the metal......



Would I drive anything else?

2 months after got it, my handbrake disengaged and a very slight decline and my car rolled into the bike rack of an SUV resulting in a dimple in my front bumper. Month later, a car slammed into the car behind me which in turn hit me just as the light turned green. Egged twice with a nice oval array of paint chips in my rear quarter panel. big *** rock hit my driver side door on the freeway. Ran over some debris on an offramp and got some metal spring thing stuck between my suspension (i think) and my gas tank. Whew!

 

I've always had humdrum cars until now with the Z. And only now have I been a victim of malicious vandalism. Keyed twice since I bought mine 5 months ago...

 

Z curse? Yup...

LOL I think it's a new car curse... When I bought my RSX I got door dinged the very first day I took it to work, I even parked way in the corner of the lot where nobody parks because it takes half your lunch break just to get there. Some *** decided to park all the way out there just to ding me.

A week later I hit an armadillo on my way to work, it was 5 am and I saw him a mile away... I swerved left, he ran in front of me... I swerved right and he turned around and ran back in front of me... had no choice- he got what he deserved, darwinian justice lol. That left divits and a spider crack in the bumper, but I tailgate so much you'd have a hard time finding it through all the rock chips lol....

 

I've seen a lot of guys get their Z's keyed, including me

2 weeks after I bought mine......Keyed! Got me good too....a nice 15 inch right across the passenger side door!

 

3 months after i got my "lady" the dealership remote started her, while leaving it in gear...WITH NO PARKING BRAKE RELEASED!!!!!!!! my poor girl went into reverse and crashed into 3 other cars...the saddest day of my life. but shes all better now...running like a champ. burning past hondas & acuras =]

 

that happened to me on labor day exactly 1 month after i got the Z. i believe the curse is true

 

Well you gotta wonder about Z curse. Had my 2004 since new. I'd had it 2 weeks, got keyed about a 10cm mark on the back of the hatch, same week some idiot in the carpark, did an awesome job scratching my front left guard, 3rd week, got it keyed again, right through to the paint, by the arial in 2 places, been keyed numerous times since (in total 8 times now) and I live in upmarket area. Had this happen very badly to my S-15, keyed full length left side, right through with metal shavings. Not nice, so sold that one.

Was at the movies, came out to find that someone with a tow bar had backed into the front number plate. About 5 months ago going over a notorious motorway black spot a truck I was behind (over a hundred metres back) dropped two bits of metal out of the back of the truck, the larger of the two I managed to avoid which was no mean feet in rush hour traffic, unfortunately the smaller bit of the two hit my bonnet, left a reasonable sized dent, and 2 very deep gauges approximately 2mm's deep. Not to mention my Z currently has major handling issues and is a driveway ornament until it is fixed (that's a whole other different cursed story). Almost forgot my Z blew it's full 4 litre load of engine oil 2 weeks ago for no reason Nissan cares to explain, and hadn't run over anything etc. Haha, no we don't have lemon laws in NZ.

So yes, I think my Zed, definitely needs the curse lifted.

 

i have had my car for a year and a half and i believe my car is cursed. i have had bad wheel bearings, bad tranny, backed into with a trailer hitch leaving a square hole in my rear bumper, someone moved a flowerpot outside my garage door that scraped all the way down the side, tree fell on hatch, big door dent in quarter panel, backed into by friend at a party, friends dad threw gravel down the side with a lawnmower none of this was my fault, except for maybe the flower pot accident. ive also had 3 tickets which are my fault.

 

Had her for a month. I'm assuming some moron clipped my bumper trying to parallel park... nasty streaks all over the front end. That's what i get for parking in chinatown-3.

 

On my 3rd day of ownership, I was driving to work around dusk, and a deer that was standing off the roadway charged towards my car and caused $3500 of damage. Gotta wonder about this curse thing....

 

My new '06 was hit 3 days and 400 miles after I bought it. It was hit two more times before I hit 3500 miles. Still haven't fixed the damage from the last one. Gonna have to sue the guy:
