Default Free 350Z!!!

or better!

Check out the Dream Car Sweepstakes at www.bridgestonetire.com

Bridgestone is giving away 3 dream cars (all cars that use their tires). Grand Prize is a Ferrari Modena.

First Prize is choice of an SL500, 911, Lexus SUV, BMW745.

Second Prize is choice of a Land Cruiser, BMW Z4, Lexus LS430 or a 350Z!

Yeah, techically telling everyone about this, I probably am reducing my odds of winning, but I'm probably still more likely to be struck by lightning during a plane crash just after winning the Power Ball lottery anyway.

sorry but given those choices, i dont think anyone would choose the 350z. looks like you have to go to a tire dealer in person to enter the contest. good find.

If I won 2nd place I would get the Z.

If I didn't already have one that is...

Hmmm... I already do have one and would be hard pressed not to take the 350Z if I won second prize given the choices.

The Lexus sedan doesn't appeal to me at all (it is an LS, not an SC.

If I wanted a convertible, it would not be a Z4 so if I took that I would trade it on something else.

Only competition, for me, with the 350Z would be the Land Cruiser... but like the Z4, I'd probably want to trade it on an SUV I wanted more.

Only the 350Z would I select and keep.

Of course, this is all moot because I'm going to win the Modena!!!

did you read the whole rules?

...Canadian winners must answer unaided a time-limited arithmetic skill-testing question as a condition of receiving a prize...

What the hell is that?

Maybe they don't want any Canadians to win!

I think this is legal loop-hole to allow people in Canada to win the prizes. They must have some law restricting these types of sweepstakes...

Canadian prize winners must complete a skill testing question in order to avoid violating Canadian lottery law.

In the United States only one of the three elements of prize, chance and consideration needs to be eliminated to avoid classification as an illegal lottery, in Canada only prize and chance need to be present to run afoul of Canadian criminal laws prohibiting lotteries. To avoid the risk of violating Canadian lottery law, most sponsors will inject an element of skill into the promotion by requiring potential winners to correctly answer a skill testing question before declaring the winners and awarding the prize.

Regards,
Kevin

forget that, i'd get the land cruiser, not drive it too much, sell it and then buy another 350z base. land cruisers go for at least 55k, i'd have about 20k to spend on mods! shiat, that would be cool.

I'd probably get the LS430, sell it on eBay, use some money to buy a Z, and keep the leftover. :d

Looks like you can send in a snail mail entry also...

1. TO ENTER: Official Entry Forms are available at participating Bridgestone/Firestone retailers, beginning March 1, 2003 through April 30, 2003 or while supplies last. Complete an Official Entry Form or hand print your name, complete address, including zip code, day and evening telephone numbers, date of birth and name of retailer where you learned of this sweepstakes on a plain 3" x 5" piece of paper and deposit completed entry in the ballot box at your participating retailer by close of business on April 30, 2003. Or, you may mail your completed entry in a hand-addressed, stamped envelope to: "Bridgestone Drive a Dream" Sweepstakes, P. O. Box 7130, Melville, NY 11775-7130. Limit one mail-in entry per envelope. Limit one entry deposited per person, per visit. No photocopied or mechanically reproduced entries accepted. Mail-in entries must be postmarked by April 30, 2003 and received by May 7, 2003. Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, misdirected, damaged, incomplete, altered, illegible or postage due mail or entries. Entries become Sponsor's property and will not be returned.

If I won second place, I'd probably take the $30,000 instead of a car. That way, you could easily pay your confiscatory taxes and I wouldn't be getting a depreciable asset of which I already had one.

considering the pricing... I'm surprised that the cash option is only $30K. And considering the other options, I wonder if the 350Z is a Track model???

Take the car - pay the 7.75% taxes on it(for cali owners) then sell it for more... better than 40% going straight to the government. Maybe go for the LS430 so the folks can have a new car.
