Default nissan warranty says it covers a "loaner"

my nissan extended warranty says it will cover a loaner if the car has to be kept over night. but the local dealership told me they dont do loaners. does the warranty over ride the dealer and they have to give me a loaner or am i screwed if they need to keep it over night? what's funny is about a year ago when my buddy's sentra se-r spec v blew up (cat failed/clogged up at 12k and caused the motor to blow because it couldnt get the exhaust out) they gave him a loaner.

Has the situation come up where your car was kept overnight for repair, and the dealer did not give you a loaner?

nissan basic warranty does not cover rental ...dlr may goodwill rental if they have rentals available.... for the extended warranty you may have to submit rental reimbursement thru the extended warranty dept

I believe the operative phrase there is "nissan extended warranty". Is the repair being covered by the normal warranty or the extended warranty? If it's still under the factory warranty, then don't expect a loaner. If the extended warranty is paying the bill, then you're entitled to the loaner. Actually, it's a rental that the extended warranty is paying for.

If you have extended warranty, you're paying 5 dollars a day for a rental from the dealership.

no guys, they only give you a loaner if it's a tranny related issue or something wrong with the car that makes it hard for you to drive or not drive it at all, in other words, they'll fix your sayy, cd changer if it's broken, or anything electronical, but if you can drive it, and it's just something electronical or any non-tranny related car issue, then you will not get a loaner. I take my z to one of the best nissans in va, browns fairfax nissan. I had my tranny replaced about a month ago, and I had a loaner for a week almost, they paid for it. but I called again yesterday so I could take it in to get my cd changer fixed (it skips), and asked whether or not I'd get a loaner since I have the gold warranty, nope not happening.

I was told from the place where i bought my car. Any major service/work that needs to be done you are eligible for a loaner car. When I took my car in for a supposed shifting issue they put me down for a loaner car. brought it there at 6pm and they tested in the morning and called me up to pick up my car. they told me that everything is normal with my shifter so i had a crappy loaner car for a day.

I got a Sentra 1.8S (the S stands for SLOW) for three weeks while my Z was in the shop. I have to say that thing was one of the easiest cars to drive...so easy to whip it around anywhere you want (almost felt like a toy).

To get back to the point, i think a lot of these policies fall under the individual dealer. Under an extended warranty, you are entitled to a rental car. If the dealer has one available, that's the one you get, otherwise call up enterprise.
