Dear Z:
So today is the day one year ago we became aquainted.
-- 1 year ago, i met you at performance nissan.
-- 1 year ago, i was much richer than i am now, but its ok, as long as we have each other!
-- 11 months ago, some jerk off messed up your fender, then took off without me being there. I am sorry about this, but i fixed you up the next day.
-- 10 months ago, you let me cheat on you, i appreciate that!
-- 2,000 miles ago i upgraded your motor oil so you can "go" much smoother.
-- 4 months ago, I upgraded you withsome better power. You gave new meaning to the word "blown" in my life.
-- 3 weeks ago, i bought you a new pair of shoes, however they are still sitting in the closest. We are just waiting for your other exterior parts to come in.
So in the past year, we have spent 5200 miles together, had a number of memorable moments, met some cool people, and gained a large understanding for each other. Thank you Z, and i love you!!!
Sincerely,
Jeff

I got my Z in Jan '06 and she is now parked in the garage for the winter.. During my first year I thoroughly enjoyed driving the Z. No matter how bad my day was going, every time I got behind the wheel, I know I was smiling. I received tons of compliments, which made me smile even more. She has 10k+ miles and has been properly maintained and slightly abused.
Now for the bad stuff..
3 out of 4 of my rims were slightly curbed. Very small, but, will still be repaired because I know the marks are there (sorry baby).
The bottom of the front bumper was slightly damaged from a parking block (My friend did me a favor taking the car home one night and accidentally did this. Can't be mad at him; the favor outweighed the slightly damaged bumper). This is, of course, accompanied by some minor chips in the front bumper.
Lastly. This one I am still cursing myself over. I dented the hood while closing it just over the weekend. I got a battery tender and after removing the battery I let the hood go - it didn't latch. I didn't want to use my dirty hands to push it closed, so I used my leather jacket covered elbow, and voila a nice dent in the front of my hood. ARG!
$100 per wheel to repair/refinish, $50 paintless dent repair, too much for a front bumber and paint.. that's pretty much all the money I wanted to spend on a nice new stereo, speakers and radar detector.
Can't sweat it though. Just deal with it. She's still my baby. Has been treated better than any other car I've owned. Only hand-wash... I'll do my best to get her looking like new again early next year.
All in all, I'm a very satisfied Z owner.

just wait til after 4 years whens shes a little older a little wiser and a little more banged up...the sex is still great though. Getting about the time she could benefit from some lipo and a nose job though, me thinks.
