I've had my Z for a couple days now. Already went to the muffler shop to have my resonator cut out. (hey it's a start) And i want to comment on how clean burning our engine is! There was only the finest amount of soot inside of it. She has 31000 miles on her, i would expect that from a new car but damn! I don't know, maybe i've had crappy cars before. But still impressed none the less!

I haven't driven it alot since then. But when the guy started it up on the rack it sounded about 20% louder! Still nice and quiet at idle, but sounds like more of a beast at full throttle! It has a slight rasp near 5000 RPM. But it almost sounds like some metal shavings got blown into the muffler from where he sawed out the resonator. I guess only time will tell!! But for a cheap ($20) mod it's a nice sound improvement. Still has the great 3.5 exaust note too!!
I thought this thread would involve new hybrid technolgoy vehicles getting 100mpg, thanks for killing the dream dude. j/k
Ya the Z is a clean burning car mostly because it has 4 cats, 1 resonator and 1 muffler.
