If it will cost less than $500 out of pockey to fix, then I certainly would not call the insurance company.

I do believe the insurance company will cover aftermarket items too (do rims count) but they will be kind of pissed that you have "modifications" that you didn't tell them about before, because they would have charge your more from the getgo.

I know this might not sound right just like this, but consider yourself lucky to just have to dish out some cash...

Down here, there are several crashes because of animals jumping into highways and streets... at a certain speed I think that even a small thing -possum or the such- can get you injured or killed.

Feeling your pain on the repairs, but glad it was only that...

Default Sue the Dog!

Why not sue the dogs owner...he/she is the one responsible here. Small claims court was made for these types of issues.
