Unhappy Anyone else getting jealous?

Man it kinda sucks to know some entry level cars such as the Nissan Versa and the 07 Sentra have Bluetooth tech so you can pickup the phone at a touch of a button on the steering wheel, and have the intelligent key. Why couldn't the Z have that tech in a 25K+ car earlier?

Sure there's aftermarket, but comeon, stock woulda been nice right?

/end rant

I have a button to answer the phone on my steering wheel, but I need to get it hooked up at the dealer, which I probably won't...

Hmm, Let's see my choices:
Own a 4 door sedan with built in bluetooth...

Own a 4 door compact econo with built in bluetooth...

Own a 350Z sports car with no built in bluetooth...

No, I'm not getting jealous.

Hello Jim. I just got my butt kicked by a 350Z.

Don’t worry about it Mike. I mean you can talk with me just by pushing a button on the steering wheel.

Thanks Jim. I never thought about it that way.

Did you buy the z to talk on the phone or drive. I hate talking on the phone while driving the z. Always hang up in like 15 seconds. No bluetooth for me. Keep it simple is my moto.

Well well, I know some of us gadget lovers would have whatever we can on the car... but honestly, I just got a bt headset activated by voice and that's it... no need for the car to have it integrated and no extra weight from that option either... the headset weighs like 20 grams while the option will surely weight a pound or so

I'm pretty sure the '07 will have Bluetooth and keyless start as options, if not standard.

guys wanting crap like this (such as you) are the reason the 350z is a heavy pig. You want your sport but you want your gadgetry and luxury too....buy a bimmer or G35. It's cheaper for Nissan to profit by adding gadgets but not upping the power, so it's what we get stuck with.

the 350z, it's entire history, is meant to be an inexpensive sports car. No fancy crap. The touring model on the 350z was the first of it's type in any Z that made production.

New 350z's in the future will go back to the roots. No bs luxury crap available, just pure bred sports.

Yeah I have a BT headset too, but it just doesn't do it for me. Things like these would just make a daily drive more convienient. Intel key woulda been real nice too.

chimmike, I didn't ever think about new technology being crap. If your so upset about your Z being a pig why don't you just "Rickdogg" it. Make it the pure sports car you want it to be.

To each his own... suit yourself Anyway, is there anyway you can do about it in your car without going aftermarket?? Nope, that is precisely the point of your rant... and it is not going away just yet.

I agree with the comments that 07 and up will probably come with these options (even as standard equipment).

I wonder if the Ferrari or maybe even Porsche GT3 guys are jealous of us because we have Nav and seat-warmers?

...not to mention THREE cup holders!

In Germany, they DRIVE, not sip latte, eat food, chat on the phone, or get distracted by the passenger's "actions." BMW and Porsche are amazed that we want to do all of those things when DRIVING is what a car is all about!
