Default Man, i sliced up my bumper!

Man, I forgot to set the parking brake when I garaged my 350, and during the night it rolled back into the garage door. The next morning I noticed the door was jammed, so I jerked it up and down until it opened, only to realize that the handle on the inside sliced, scratched and punctured my bumper. The body shop guy told me he cold use poly to fill in the small chewed up chunk of rubber, and the scratched, paint the center of the bumper and clear coat the entire piece.

My question is, will the poly bond to the plastic, or will it bubble/peel off after a while? Am I gonna have to buy a whole new bumper now?

If anyone in the LA are has a standard rear *white* bumper for a 2004.5 model, I would probably take it off your hands.

why wasn't your car in gear to begin with? I always put my car in gear along with the parking brake so if the parking brake cuts loose, it will still be in gear holding it from rolling back
