i was crazy heated but i didnt want to do anything stupid, i know a little bit of a hot head especially when it comes to my car and i wanted to flip out. I tried to maintain myself because i didnt want to take any chance of screwin this up because im not tryin to pay for the repair on this car. I just think something should be done, i dont feel right lettin somebody get away with hitting my car intentionally like that. It just sucks because its lookin like there isnt much i can really do.

Tell the judge you have nightmares of the accident, that you wake up in a cold sweat. Just really milk it! Know that the insurance company wont settle your case until all your medical is done, and that it is usually double what your medical bills are. I got 10k out of some a$$holes insurance company when he hit my ex-wifes S2000 on purpose. I'm not even until I'm one up on em'. Unethical-smethical... for the poor and unfortunate... you just won the lottery, time to clean house!

Two words for you: defensive driving. Just because you're in the right doesn't mean you won't get hit.

If you have time to admire the look on the guy's face as he moves into your lane, you have time to move out of his way. From a legal standpoint, standing on the brakes is a better option than trying to prove his actions were intentional, or even that it wasn't your fault.
Suing is all well and dandy, but that costs a lot of money and the recovery doesn't look promising. There are lots of morons, drunks, inattentive drivers, cellphone talkers, physically and emotionally ill people on the roads.
Your job is to avoid them as best you can and keep your machine and yourself in one piece.
Sometimes you can't avoid them, but your odds increase when you don't contest right of way, don't worry about who is right, always leave an escape route, and drive as if you are invisible-because to a lot of these people you are.

One thing you'll need to do, usually you'll get a card from the cop with a case no. Since some a**holes don't report their wrecks to their ins. you'll need to retrieve a copy of the wreck report yourself for his ins. company to varify he was at fault. It will have his ticket no. on it. But you'll need the case no. to retrieve the report. You can usually get this at the traffic court office.

Like I ALWAYS say....TRUCKERS are a bunch of SORRY *** M*therF*ckers!

People in trucks have a TOTALLY different mindset...whether they live in NJ or some country bumpkin town in Mississippi.

To THEM, their truck is representative of their manhood ...or for some truckers, a substitute for the manhood that God DIDN'T bless them with (If you know what I mean).

They're NOT suave or sophisticated, by ANY means...They buy flannel shirts from K-Mart and wear Hai-Karate cologne (or just pour beer on themselves).

...They go home and beat their wives, then have several beers and watch football in their trailers or little shack in the woods.

As far as females who drive trucks?? They are the type you NEVER bring home to Mom...they are the type that talk burly like a man, fart loudly in public, and are hard to tell apart from their male counterparts....A SAD lot indeed.

That is a unique tale. The guy took out the side of your car on purpose?

What do you do? You have insurance right? See your agent.

It's sad that you think you have to lead a 'blessed life' to not break the law and be directly responsible for the rise of insurance premiums for the rest of us. You think the Chiropractors are crooks? What does that make you when you use their services?

It's crossed my mind a few times. Hey, it's not like I'm driving around without insurance doing hit and runs. I'm not breaking into your car and stealing your stereo or leaving your car on blocks. I don't have a marijuana farm in my living room. I sleep fine at night. I DO have 40gb+ of illegally downloaded mp3s and 400+ pirated DVD's. The way I feel about Insurance Companies just happens to be about the same way I feel about the Motion Picture Association of America and the Recording Industry. But I guess you 3 guys are just all straight-shooters with no skeletons in their closets though. Congratulations. I'm sure there will be a trophy waiting for you at the end of your lives so that you can raise it up above your heads and feel super special about yourselves. The rest of us in the meantime will just admire your integrity with awestruck eyes and go to bed at night dreaming that one day, we could all end up JUST like you in your perfect little worlds.

Oh and hey, Azeem Khan...

If you are really unsatisfied with the paint after you get it back from the body shop, you could always take the car out to the country and set it on fire. Report it stolen after you get home from your trip to the country. This requires an accomplice however, and I would highly advise not asking peeps posting in this thread to help you with that. Just remember to take all the stuff you want to keep/sell out first. Your insurance company will give you dealer markup for a totalled car. Always good to know what your options are. You might want to renounce your faith in God as well, unless you are cool with the whole burning in hell thing and all.

Cops work fender benders all day, they don't care who's fault it is, they just fill out the paperwork and move on to the next one.
Don't think I could say it any better. I'll add that I'm sorry about your misfortune.
Defensive driving and giving way save time in the body shop. 10 seconds now or 10 days later in the body shop is my thoughts when I try to avoid an accident.

You might as well start doing it. I don't see how your amorality allows you to decide there's a difference.

A little defensive, aren't you?

I can't believe I'm wasting time actually responding to this nonsense. kcobean, I thought 'disrespectful members will get banned'?

I am not sure how the penal law works in NJ, But in NY if a person damages your property with intent or in a reckless manner it is a charge of Criminal Mischief. Did this guy make any statements in regards to you cutting him off and him striking your car due to this fact. Damage over $250.00 is a misd. charge and damage over $1500.00 is a felony. You can file a police report after you recieve an estimate, PD can't or shouldn't refuse a complaint and it will be assigned to a Detective, if you wanted to go this route and have a decent DT assigned, he could do a controlled phone call w/ you and have it all on tape. God bless for not loosing your cool, I would have taken that as a personal assault on my physical well being and put him down till the police showed up. If you don't want the extra Drama, just get the car fixed and take it as a lesson learned...Best of luck !
