It is bound to happen sooner or later. The tow nissan dealerships by my house have had the same 3-4 cars each on there lots for the last 3 weeks. That doesn't take away from the car!! It just that now conusmers will get real prices intead of getting raked over the coals. That is a good thing, right? Guys who bought it right away paid a premium for the "I had it first" factor. That is what car nuts do.

It is a track model and is advertised with power seats. Can you get power seats in the US on your track models. We can't.

I have to admit that I was watching this auction all last weekend, since it was so darn cheap and it was the closest dealer to my home, but unfortunately this was just the "wrong" color for me.

It still is unclear whether this was a dealer sponsored auction or whether it was a salesman just trying to make some extra dollars. I contemplated the possibility of having to sue a salesman if s/he reneged on the deal. If you notice carefully only an email address and a phone number are listed, so it's hard to tack this to the dealership (IRA not listed) or an individual (if it's an anonymous email).

The eBay listing says, among other things, :
"WE ARE A NISSAN DEALERSHIP...."

...and you find the name for the dealership where?

I really hope that this deal goes through and this guy gets his Z for cheap, but the seller had 0 sales and is named "hazy4088" so it was a bit suspicous. I still think it's a salesman who overstepped his bounds (e.g. NO RESERVE).

Here is another dealer who moved a 350z below invoice:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...404000856&rd=1

MSRP on this car is $33,662. Even with the $499 doc fee, it was still $200 below invoice.

This Touring has everything except for NAV... even a Cargo Convienience package, First Aid Kit, Road Emergency Kit, Wheel Locks, "Z" licence plate cover, a copy of "Love then Lust", and a 350z teardrop keychain.

If you are patient, and know the invoice price of the car, you can get a great deal on a Z through ebay. Just keep an eye out for those who are selling cars on the "No Reserve" auctions.

I agree that 0 feedback and a seller called "hazy4088" would merit checking, if I were bidding, and I would have done so. The buyer has 400+ feedbacks, which indicates a knowledgable eBayer, and lives in NH, so it would be easy to see the car and pin down the details in MA, before paying.
Of course, if this auction is bogus, the buyer will be very upset. However, he won't be out any money and he can sue, for specific performance ( a 350z track at that price ), if he chooses.
On the other hand, people on this board report going to dealers, agreeing to pay msrp or close to it, putting down a deposit, waiting and then finding that the dealer has "mistakenly" sold the car to someone else. I'd rather risk saving $5k and, at worst, losing no money.
Let's keep checking the eBay feedback, on this transaction, and see if the deal was real.

Ditto!
Feedback from that buyer says, " truly superior buying experience; new 350z for great price & service ".

Very true. It is awful. However, the buyer of that 350z Touring gave that seller, in GA, great feedback on his purchase.
As far as the 350z Track auction, by an unrated seller in MA, I sent this e-mail to the winning bidder, today:
"Wow!
It looks like you got the best deal any of us on MY350Z.COM have seen.
Please let us know how it turns out.
Thanks very much,
Lee Clarke "

Regarding Sutherlin Nissan and this SuperBlack AT Touring on Ebay... I am the guy who won the car, and left that feedback.

I flew down to Atlanta to drive it home last weekend. The only issue I had with the deal is that the ebay listing showed it to have 7 miles on it when actually it had 119. However, they threw every possible accessory except a noseguard and a car cover. Getting the car for $200 below invoice with 119 miles and all the extras made it hard for me to complain too much.

Furthermore, they got me an interest rate of 3.69% over 36 months. Beats my credit union by 0.3%.

I drove it around Atlanta for a few days, then drove it 620 miles back to the DC area. I have about 950 miles on it now, and I have yet to have any issues with it. The Z is by far the most enjoyable car I have ever driven. I just hope I can continue to avoid the speeding tix

Mike Kelly is the guy who ran the whole deal, and was very straight up with me. I dont know about the other people who left the negative feedback, but the experience I had was almost too good to be true. I am still waiting to find something wrong with the car that made them let it go for such a cheap price.

I just wish that I could have found a dealer here in the D.C. area who would have offered me this kind of deal and service... When it comes time for me to get another car, I will defintely give these guys the chance to find me what I want at the price I am looking for.

Dear Blade,
Thanks for resolving that issue.
You got a great deal!!!!
Glad to see you didn't fall for the BS, from Herb Gordon Nissan and other DC area dealers.
Congratulations, even though you didn't get PPW.

Lee,

Thank you for the compliment. I spent several hours at Passport Nissan in Alexandria negotiating with the GM over a PPW 6MT Touring (MSRP $35,200)... The lowest he would go was $34,500, despite showing him an buyers order for $32,700 on a Redline with an identical package from Gwinnett Nissan (another dealer in Georgia).

But honestly, neither the PPW or the RL are the right colors for me, so I am happy that things worked out the way they have.

Here are some pics after the Z's first car wash after getting back to VA:

350Z pics

BTW, I nearly took a job in Salisbury last year. Nice town. You planning on cruising the PPW down the strip in OC?

Dear Eric,
Your car is beautiful!!!!
I like all the 350z colors. The best price I got was on PPW, so that became my color choice. Luckily, now that I have PPW, I really like it.
Sorry we won't have you, as a neighbor, in Salisbury.
I'll look for you in OC.
