Pet peeve... anyone agree?
haha I prop my elbow on the inside of the door but not so far as to go outside the window. Since I steer with my left hand, I prop my elbow on the inside of the door and grab the inside of steering wheel with my thumb and forefinger at the 9 o'clock position.
It's very comfy.

That dude in the hairy arm post has more money then anyone here, I believe it's Robert Williams =)
Back to topic of sticking stuff out windows, years ago I had the same shoes on as my friend, he stuck his left leg out the drivers side window and I stick my right leg out the passenger side window. I made sure to duck down. He told me we got a bunch of very very very weird looks.
It was funny at the time.....

If this topic were to be more of a safety issue then a pet peeve of hanging limbs out the window, would you be less um... passionate in your response?
When I was in highschool, my friend was involved in a car accident. he was a passenger in a truck and the inexperienced driver at the time (16) went into an exit ramp too quickly and the left rear tire went onto gravel and the truck rolled 3 times. At the time, my friend in the passenger side had his armd out and down the side of the truck. When the truck started rolling, he told me instinctively that he held onto the side of the truck to steady himself, his arm was crushed.

Whoops, sorry. He had lots of shattered bones, it took a lot of operations but they managed to keep the arm but he has about 75% use of it now.
